A/N: Hey! I hope you like it, this is my first story. I'm not really sure what to call it, it's kinda the story of Lily and Petunia. Yah. Um anyway thanks for reading! Please, please, PLEASE leave reviews! If its horrible, or if there's mistakes, tell me! I LOVE constructive criticism!

PS notice I said constructive criticism. Please don't be hateful, no one appreciates that!

From the very beginning, Lily Evans knew she was special. She knew that she was different from the rest of her family. The thing she could do with the flowers, and the way she could jump off the swing, almost like she was floating on a cloud, cushioning her fall. Tuney didn't like it, when Lily showed her. Tuney got scared, and told Lily that their parents wouldn't like it, so she kept it a secret. Well as much as she could anyway. The kids at school knew, they noticed when odd things happened around Lily Evans. That was why she didn't have any friends at school. They were scared of her, and with good reason. Bad things always seemed to happen to the people who made Lily mad. They learned to stay away from Lily. So Lily kept it a secret, her specialness.

Still, Lily was shocked when she recieved the letter, as was her family. After all, it's not every day an owl flies through your window in the middle of breakfast and drops a letter in your lap. Lily could still remember every moment of that morning. She remembered the shock on her family's faces when the owl arrived. The texture of the envelope between her fingers. The sound of the letter unfolding. The feeling of excitement when she read the first line and finally realized why she could do the thing with the flowers, why she could jump off the swings and float gently to the ground, why bad things seemed to always happen to those that made her mad. Why she was different, special. She was magical.

Once Lily's parents were over their shock, they were thrilled. There was magic in the family! Tuney on the other hand, was not. Once Lily opened that letter, their relationship was changed forever. Tuney saw her sister as a freak, an embarrassment to the family. She wanted nothing to do with Lily from that point on.

Lily was heartbroken. She was excited to go to Hogwarts, but she didn't want to lose her sister. They had always shared a special bond. Lily had been her sister's shadow from day one, and they had rarely left each others side. It killed Lily when Tuney shunned her, barely speaking to her and refusing to play with her. Eleven years of devotion meant nothing to Pentunia now. Lily was a freak in her eyes.

Once Lily left for Hogwarts, Tuney didn't make an effort to keep contact with her sister. When Lily would come home for holidays, Tuney never spoke to her. In Lily's sixth year, Petunia met Vernon. She spent all her time with him, and when he asked her to marry him, she fled with him and never looked back. It broke Lily's heart.

When Lily met James in her seventh year, she knew this was the man she would marry. She had no doubts. She invited Tuney to her wedding, but Petunia and Vernon left right after the ceremony and didn't stay for the reception.

When Lily found out she was pregnant with Harry, she sent an owl to her sister right away. Pentunia never even opened the letter.

He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named himself,
