"It's over," Parvati says, a grin spreading across her lips. "The war is over."

Lavender tries to return the smile, but her lips refuse to move. The war is over, but the damage remains. Physical damage, emotional damage. She doesn't know how they'll recover from this or if these wounds they all have will fade with time.

"It's over," Parvati repeats. "It's going to be okay."

But Lavender doesn't feel okay. She's broken, lost. And maybe it's over. Maybe this dark chapter in their lives has come to an end, but she doesn't know how to turn the page to start the next chapter.

"What do I do now?" Lavender whispers, her voice breaking as she touches her fingertips to the jagged scars on her face.

Parvati understands. It's always been what Lavender loves about her. Whatever happens, Parvati is there.

She takes Lavender by the hand, pressing a gentle kiss to her knuckles. "We move on. We heal."

"How?"

The grin softens to a smile, kind and understanding. "Together," Parvati says. "Always together."
