It was getting late, the sun was starting to set. It would soon be dark. Not that Cody cared. He had had a bad day, school had been hell, as usual. He was constantly bullied and got a lot of homework, and was also expected to do Zack's. He and Zack had fought earlier, but he couldn't remember what it was about. Not that he cared.

Earlier that night he had been angry and annoyed, and somehow stumbled across his mother's secret stash of alcohol. He never knew that his mom kept so much vodka in the house. So he drank some of it. He wasn't caught, his mom was working and Zack had locked himself in their room after their fight. He drank two bottles in the house, then snuck two more in to his bag and left, stumbling a bit.

And now he was on the outskirts of the city, hobbling along the empty road with his last, half empty bottle loosely in his hand. He had no idea where he was, he could still see the tall buildings in the city if he looked back but he wasn't ready to go home. He could already hear his mother shouting at him for drinking and running off; he didn't feel like facing that right now, so he carried on.

The forest beside the road seemed to be getting thicker, and he hadn't seen any cars for ages. This place seemed completely deserted. Cody lifted the bottle to his lips, taking a big gulp. Up ahead he saw something pinned to a tree. As he approached, he noticed that it was a piece of paper. It was slight yellowed, there was a man in black on it next to a tree, and the word 'follows' written down the side.

Cody glanced around, before pulling the paper off the tree. Cody was sure he had seen that before, and would probably be more curious if he was sober, but the alcohol had made his mind go fuzzy. So he shoved the paper into his bag, and had another mouthful of vodka.

A bit further up the road, he noticed another bit of paper. This one had 'CAN'T RUN' on it with a black scribble under it.

As he went to grab it, he heard a twig snap somewhere behind. Startled, Cody looked around, but didn't see anything.

'Its nothing,' he thought to himself, 'just an animal in the woods.'

Taking another drink, he turned and grabbed the paper, stuffing that into his bag aswell. About three metres in front of him, stood a tall man, inhumanly tall. Almost 10 ft. Its arms went past his knees, almost touching the floor. It wore a black suit and had long black tentacles coming from its back. The part that scared Cody the most was that it had no face. Only a pale white head and a place where its face should of been. Cody wanted to run, but he couldn't. He was paralysed by fear. He suddenly began to hear static in his head. It made him dizzy and Cody felt like he would collapse.

Then he remembered. He knew who this was. Slenderman. Zack had forced him to play the game a while ago. It was scary but he didn't think it was real. He thought he was just a myth.

He knew what to do. If he kept looking it would kill him, so he turned and walked away quickly. The static started to fade and he could see clearly again, well as clear as he could while intoxicated.

Now he knew what to do. He had to get all the pages, there were 8 if he remembered correctly. He already had two, he could find the rest, he was sure of it.

AN: Sorry its been a while but I don't have my laptop. I'm uploading this on my phone. I don't know where I got this idea , but I've been playing the slenderman games and decided to write this. I probably won't upload again until I get my laptop back, which I'm hoping will be soon. Thanks.
