The turtles were ready, ready to fight The Foot Clan, and Donnie was worried about April coming with them.
"April, are you sure you want to go?" asked Donnie, worried.
"Yes, I'll be fine."
"Boys, are you ready?" Master Splinter asked.
"Yes sensei." they all replied, even April. They all ran out the door.
15 Minutes Later By an Old Hotel.
Donnie and April teamed up and watched and old, abandoned hotel that is suspected to be a Foot Clan base. Leo, Mikey, and Raph spied on a Foot Clan weapons distribution in progress, waiting to stop them.
"So, did you sleep good last night?" said Donnie, breaking the silence. He slapped his head into his hand.
"Um yes. Yes I did." she replied. Donnie thought what to say next.
"Hey uh April, do you maybe, want to, kinda, maybe—"
"Shh!"
"What is it?" Donnie asked in worry.
"I heard Foot Clan, I think." She stood up determined.
"Let me go check it out." Donnie slowly pushed her down.
"Let me do it." she swatted his hand away. Donnie looked sad. "I'm sorry Donnie. I appreciate you concern, but I can handle it." She put her hand on his shoulder and he smiled. They both turned back at the old hotel. They heard something, a crash.
"A foot!" Donnie exclaimed. "Hey you know that's kinda funny how I said a—" April shushed him and raced down toward the back parking lot, which was dark because it was closed in by walls. The foot ninja ran back inside the hotel, and then tons more came rushing out.
"Let's get em!" Donnie and April started fighting the weak opponents.
"For some reason, these are easy." said April while easily swatting the ninjas with her metal fan.
A big wave came out of the hotel after she said that.
"Let's get em!" April exclaimed. They ran in thinking that the ninjas would fall easily, but they fought back, and fought back hard. Donnie and April kept getting swung in the air by these strong ninjas. Donnie watched as his princess got punched, kicked, and swung. He saw blood coming out her nose. He could not stand it no more. He flipped into a rage, slicing the ninjas, and he saved April in the process. April looked at Donnie weak and said,
"Thanks." Donnie smiled.
April groaned in pain, and she fell to the ground, holding her chest. It was Shredder, and his two blades on his right hand went through April's back.
"April!" Donnie exclaimed. His eyes filled with rage and determination. He swung out his blade on his staff. he ran at Shredder, and twirling his staff many times, he kept hitting Shredder. Then, he took his blade and sliced it through Shredder's right arm, then left arm where no armor was. Shredder cried in pain. Donnie gave one more big slash and hit Shredder,in the face with his blade. While Shredder was on the ground, Donnie could not kill him. Instead, he took of Shredder's helmet, and smacked him really hard in the head, knocking him out.
"April." Donnie ran over to April, worried. She looked at him, weak.
"Donnie." she said weakly.
"It's okay April, I'll get you to the lair." said Donnie while picking her up. She groaned, and he put her back down.
"Donnie," she said while struggling to breath. "do you want to, maybe, kinda sorta, go—" she coughed hard.
"Go out together?" Donnie finished. She nodded. "Yeah sure. But let me first take care of you."
"Donnie." she said Softly. "I love you." Donnie smiled.
"I love you too, so much."Donnie replied.
She took a short breath, then fell dead weight into Donnie's arms.
"April?
