I sat on the step, crying. "Meiling, why are you crying?" Wei asked me. I looked up at him.
"My bird w-went away. And my auntie got it for me!" I wailed.
"Wait here." I felt someone run past me.
I looked up from my hands. "S-Syaoran?" I asked.
I had waited on the step for several hours. It was raining. "I wonder what he left for. I hope he's okay." I muttered. Syaoran suddenly appeared.
"Oi, Meiling..." He looked exhausted. He opened his hands. "Is this the one?" He asked. I looked in and saw my bird.
I stared at it with shock. Is that why he left so abruptly? He was out in the rain for hours! I felt my features tense up. He did this...all for me. Tears welled up in my eyes. I tried to hold it in, but a few tears fell either way.
"W-what's wrong? Does it hurt?" He asked. I hugged him continuing my water works. "Meiling...?" He asked.
"S-Syaoran! Y-you went out for hours in the rain for me!" I wailed. "Y-you're soaking wet!" I looked up at him, I couldn't help but see him wince. "You need to come inside. You'll catch a cold..." I say calming down somewhat. I turned and went into the house. I put my bird into the cage. I look at my cousin. "I'll make you some soup. Okay?" I chirp, not looking at him
Syaoran stood there a few seconds before coming inside. "Okay." He muttered. I smiled and went into the kitchen, making the soup as I said I would.
