Yuki Chida hopped over the empty cans on her floor, determined to get to school. Her bag was overflowing, stuffed messily with transfer papers. Her front door slammed open, revealing her younger cousin.
"Hey, are you ready yet? We need to get to school or we're going to be late."
"Yeah, almost. I need to get an apple to appease my ever growing hunger."
She shoved the apple into her bag, deciding to eat it at school. With a last look around her apartment, she walked out, locking the door behind her.
"It feels like forever since I've been in Japan," she said, laying her hands behind her head in the typical main-character-laid-back way. "Waaait. In Japan, don't schools forced you to join clubs?"
Her cousin, Haruhi, stared at her. "Where did you even hear that from?"
"Well, I read online that-" she was cut off.
"No, you don't have to join any clubs."
Yuki nodded. A thought then came to her. "Hey, do you think I can get the whole school to fall in love with me in about a week?"
Haruhi shook her head, continuing on her way, not understanding that this was foreshadowing.
After Haruhi left, Yuki stepped into her new classroom, 3-D. The room was full of bustling students chatting and laughing, all looking like real people even without the red and blue flimsy glasses.
They quieted down though after noticing the teachers presence. The teacher turned to look at the girl.
"You must be the new student. Write your name on the board."
So she took the extended chalk and wrote Chida Yuki in thick letters. Turning to the front, she bowed.
"I'm Yuki Chida and I just moved here from America. Please take care of me."
A low whistle came from the back followed by chuckling. She stood straight, smiled cutely, and chuckled along. Damn right I'm cute! Love me! She thought.
"Anything else you want to say to the class?"
"No thank you. I would hate to waste any more of your time."
The teacher nodded, pointing at an empty desk. She bowed slightly, still unsure when to bow, and hurried off to sit down. She reached into her bag bringing out her apple and took a huge bite. It made a crunch noise, making everyone turn to stare at her.
"Chida-san, no eating in the classroom." The teacher scolded the young girl.
"Wait, adults use honorifics on younger people? I totally forgot about that," she laughed, taking another bite of the apple before throwing it in her bag. She cringed, knowing that the inside of the bag was going to be disgusting by the end of the day. "Sorry for wasting your time. Only wanted to get some food down."
Lunch
"Hey, Chida-san, may I eat with you?" A boy asked her with red cheeks. A group of people laughed behind him. He rubbed the back of his neck, unsure of what to do.
"Of course, but do you mind staying inside the classroom with me? I like the quiet better."
He nodded, taking the chair in front of her and spinning it around. "You were in America before this, correct?"
"Yes, it was quite noisy there, but I had fun. I came here because my cousin goes here. I have only visited Japan, not lived here, so I'll see how it goes."
The small smile was evident on her face and the-boy-with-no-name-because-he-doesn't-matter-to-the-plot smiled back.
"Forgive me if I'm rude, but you seem different from the girls at this school."
"That's because I'm not like any other girl," she smirked. "I have more lines than them."
"You want me to go with you to Music Room 3?"
"Yeah, it's kind of the club I'm in…" Haruhi muttered.
Yuki nodded, wanting to check it out. Oh, maybe I can meet some boys! Boys, boys, oh lovely boys!
While they made small talk, they didn't realize that they ended up at a door. Haruhi sighed before pushing it open.
"Haruhi, you're late." A condescending voice said, making Yuki cringe.
"Yeah, yeah. I was just getting my cousin from class."
Yuki bowed, looking at Haruhi in the corner of her eyes. "I'm sorry I made her late."
The group of boys standing around stared at the girl in confusion.
"Haruhi?" She whispered. "This is what I'm supposed to do, right?"
Haruhi gripped her shoulder, making her stand straight. "Guys, this is my cousin, Yuki Chida. Yuu, this is the club."
The taller blond grabbed a rose, holding it out to the girl, who smiled in thanks. Taking a look around the room, Yuki turned on her heels, glare set on Haruhi. "How come you didn't tell me they're all smoking hot? I would've come back sooner!"
"I didn't think it was necessary."
Yuki let out a cry, running into the room and hugging the blond's waist. "Sh-she lied to me! Lied!"
She was then ripped off of the muddled looking host. "I'll introduce you."
She pointed to the blond. "That's Tamaki and king." Well, hellooo handsome. 9/10
"Kyoya Ootori. Vice president." He's scary…. 0/10!
"The twins. On the right is Hikaru Hitachiin and the left is Kaoru Hitachiin." What do we have here? Twins? Hells yeah! 10/10
"Takashi Morinozuka. Mori for short." Tall and dangerously quiet. I like this one. 9/10
"And this is Mitsukuni Haninozuka. Honey for short." She leaned down to her ear. "He's a third year." Mm...not a fan of the cute complex, but I respect the confidence he has with his image. 7/10
"Why are you here anyway? This doesn't seem like it's your thing. Is this why you're dressing as a boy?"
Haruhi sighed, knowing she was going to have to explain. She grabbed some tea, set it down for her cousin, and started the story of when she first entered the school.
Five minutes later.
"So...You broke a vase? And now you're in debt?"
"Yes."
"That seems fun! I'll do the same."
She headed to a vase, one that the other members of the club didn't know was even there, and used her index finger to push it off. It shattered onto the expensive floor, resulting in a crashing sound.
"Oh, a shame. Looks like I'm in debt too. How will I ever cope?"
And that was the day that everyone instantly fell in love with Yuki Chida.
