PROLOGUE

There were sirens yelling up and down the streets. People locked themselves in there car and got low. Some would closed there blinds and locked there houses and hid in the closet. So many people were scared up in Newark. Hobo's wouldn't mind the sounds of sirens. I was neither a scared person or a hobo that lived in Newark. I am a brave strong person. At least I like to think that. But these days, I just don't know. I can't even think straight these days. The only person on my mind is my boyfriend Tony! He is the best boyfriend you could ever have. Me and him are on a mission. Finding Eddie Duran. Already you think I'm a bad person. But, that guy killed my brother Cody. I refuse remembering that day, but sadly I do.

"Run, Run! Dont stop running Lo!" Tony said.

"Bu-but what about Cody? He is still out there Tony! Loren yelled with tears coming down her face. "Stop running!" Loren pulled Tony's arm and they stopped. They looked into each other eyes in the silence. It was quiet. The sirens stopped. Not one chirp was heard! Then a loud BOOM! Loren gasp in worry. She outs her head down and starts to cry. Tony puts his arm around Loren and rubbed his hands up and down her back.

"Shh... Shh... It's gonna be ok." Tiny says kissing her head.

"No, no, we've got to go back." Loren clears her throat and continues. "he- he probably still waiting for us by the gas station." She pulled away from Tony and started to walk away.

Lo-Loren! Wait I'm coming with you." Tony said catching up to Loren.

Ten minutes Later

"Do you see Cody anywh- Cody?" He was just laying there. You could hear his weak breaths. She ran up to his body and kneels down. Taking her hand, she runs in threw his hair. She whispers, "Cody, listen to me- you can not die on me, ok? Dont die on me!" Barley getter her words out as tears filled her eyes. Cody slowly turns his head towards her and have her a weak smile.

"No, you-you lis- listen to me, find Eddie Duren. He is clo-closer to you then you think. I-I love you Loren.." Cody said trying to speak.

"I love you too Cody!" Loren says smiling. "Don't die.. Please." Her nose was stuffy and tears were all over her face.

"Find him.." Cody said whispering. Loren shook her head and bit her lip. Cody's eyes showly shut. It was dead in the air. She cuffed her hands over her mouth, shutting her eyes. Left there alone, Tony nowhere to be found. There was a moment of peace. Until Tony came disturbing it.

"Loren? I-is that-

"Cody?" Loren said looking at Tony. "Yes, it's him, resting in peace. You weren't being quiet though."

"Sorry.."

"Lets go.." Loren puts her hand by his heart.
