Hey guys! Here is another Hunger Games story about Johanna. I honestly love her character...so I wrote a story about her. I hope you like it! P.S small spoiler for Mockingjay.

Enjoy

The first time Johanna Mason experiences death, she's too young to really understand what is happening. So she stands holding her mother's hand in an uncomfortable black dress with her hair all nice and pretty as her grandmother is lowered into the ground. And all around her people are crying, but she doesn't understand why. Her mamma had told her that grandma was in a better place. Johanna Mason assumes that these people are stupid and don't know anything, so she resumes her stance, holding her mother's hand and glares at the casket in front of her. She doesn't understand what the big deal about death is.

The second time Johanna Mason experience death she's holding her dying district partner in her arms in the Hunger Games. And yet again… she's crying, but it's not real. She doesn't really care about the arrogant Jason Groove from District 7. She'd only known him for the time it took him to get on the train and now. But she has to stay with him and cry because she was the cute little girl that was dressed as a tree for the chariot rides. Everyone thought she was weak, but she wasn't. If she's being honest with herself she kind of envies the bleeding boy. He gets to die and if she wins, she'll have to go back to the Capital and be remembered. She looks down as her partner closes his eyes. The cannon booms and she sobs louder.

Lucky boy she thinks.

The same time Johann Mason experiences her third, fourth, and fifth death is when she decides she despises that stupid Capital and its cheeriness. She had never been close to her family. But she loved her baby sister. Maybe more that she loved her own sarcasm. Everything that Johanna Mason loved was everything that President Snow hated. She knew the game he played. It had only been a week after her stupid meeting with Snow. It was simply a lodging accident, they had all told her, but she knew better. All she wanted to do to that stupid president and his brainwashed Capital people was stick a rose full of thorns down his throat and watch him choke on it. They were all sick, and what had happened to her family was not an accident.

Maybe the last death was why she took the next so hard. Or maybe it was because Finnick Odair was everything Johanna loved. She loved his stupid arrogance and looks, but most of all she loved the real Finnick. The one that loved Annie Cresta and cringed at the thought of the capital. The Finnick Odair that loved sugar cubes and old Mags. His violent death was just one more thing to add to her list of hatred for that stupid capital and its white rose.

And the last time Johanna Mason ever experiences death, it's her own. She doesn't mind it really. She guesses that it's something that just happens and there's nothing you can do about it and she's okay with that. She doesn't mind that she won't be able to live in District 7 anymore, she figures no one will miss her anyway. And she doesn't mind that she'll never live to see another death because she doesn't think she will ever really understand what the big deal about it is.

Hope you liked it (:
