She's covered in a thin film of sweat as Cho exits the Ministry of Magic building, brushing past people in her impatience to leave.
Nasty gawkers, she thinks. They're here out of morbid curiosity and a thirst for vengeance, not justice, she suspects. She's pondering the case proceedings – the girl's innocent but the verdict could be anything – when she bumps into someone that recognises her.
"Hi." She's distracted as she looks into famous green eyes. Her heart thuds painfully – out of awkwardness, not infatuation.
"Hi." His smile is full of charming awkwardness, and suddenly, the world doesn't seem so bleak.
