Waiting for You

One Shot

Twas the night before Christmas, nothing was stirring not even a mouse. All over the world children were sleeping waiting, for Santa Clause to fill up their stockings. That it everywhere except for one person a little town called Risembool.

Ever since 8 years ago, when a pair of brothers left this town, one girl that was left behind always stayed on this lonely Christmas Eve. Waiting. Just waiting for them to come back.

She always waited by a big pair of windows that looked over the hills and down the road. But she never knew that this was the year that the brothers would come back. Now at the age of 18, she still waited by the big pair of windows. Watching down the road as the snow was softly falling. It was soon to be midnight, and she grew tired. As the minutes ticked by, so did her decision to go to bed.

Just as it stroke, she was just about turned when a little patch of blonde could be seen but not heard. It was just enough to convince her to look back through the window. As she once again waited the one spot became two and soon their bodies appeared.

She ran to the door and flew it open. And ran towards the two people she just couldn't forget. The two boys, now men just stood their and watched her run toward them. A surprised took was on their faces. This was something none of them could forget. She was just about there and jumped into the now not so short man and hugged him deeply.

A shocked look appeared on the young mans face. But it then slowly settled into a small smile, and his arms circled around her waist pulling her closer. Once she was out of the one mans embrace she went and hugged the other.

"I'm so glade that your both back." the Automail mechanic stated cheerfully. She grabbed both of their hands and ran back to the house, dragging the boys behind her. Once inside they sat by the couch, getting warm by the now blazing fire drinking the hot chocolate that Automail mechanic, Winry, made. They all sat their for a couple of hours as the two men told their adventures from across the gate. But it soon ended up with a close as the youngest of the two began to grow tired and went up stairs to sleep in the spare bedroom that was in the Rockbell house.

After that the house became eerie quiet. An uncomfortable silence between the two people that were left. It was defiantly past two in the morning now and there was still scilence between the two who were still up. This was the time that Winry was waiting for, but now she didn't have the courage to do it. Ed on the other hand wanted to say something to but excuse was that he was now too tired. "I'm going to go to bed now, K. Winry?" yawned Ed as he got up. But Winry didn't want him to go, so she quickly grabbed his arm and went towards the livingroom window. Watching the snow fall once again. Still holding on his arm, she leaned her head on him and just watched the view. It was about an hour later when she began to feel drowsy but she felt comfortable there. And just when she fell asleep, she let out a small 'love you'. Ed smiled when he heard this, and kissed her forehead and whispered "Merry Christmas, Winry."

He then slowly picked her up bridal style and brought her to bed.

End!
