EPISODE 1

Brief Synopsis: While this won't cover Spider-man's origin, this will capture some of his earliest adventures with the Fantastic Four, as well as the Sinister Six. Throughout this, Peter will learn that even though there's only one Spider-man, there's also only one Peter Parker.

SCENE 1

Open on warehouse (night). Brief flashes of light can be seen coming from inside.

Inside the warehouse, goons in masks carry heavy equipment in crates, while another saws metal into bits with an electric saw, causing the sparks and flashes of light we saw

SAWING GOON: (stops sawing) That's the last of it. Lets pack the rest of it up, ship it over the bridge tonight, go home happy.

In the background, a figure moves rapidly between crates

GOON 1: (drops heavy crate to floor with a clatter) What was that?

GOON 2: What did you see?

GOON 1: Some punk trying to get in on this himself, probably.

The figure now appears at the opposite end of the warehouse, and moves between other stacks of crates, knocking a goon unconscious as he does so.

GOON 2: (quickly turns around) What?!

SAWING GOON: Scatter! Jig is up!

The two goons run for the open warehouse entrance, only to simultaneously be taken out by Spider-man dropping from the ceiling of the warehouse. The sawing goon is left standing by himself. Spider stands up and dusts himself off.

SPIDER-MAN: How come bad guys never pick the cool hideouts? Just once, I'd like to see an evil lair with a pool.

SAWING GOON: Don't hurt me, I-I'll come quietly!

SPIDER-MAN: Well, isn't that convenient? I suppose we're both going to pretend you don't have a very large gun underneath that table?

The goon draws his gun, but Spidey is too fast, shooting a web at the gun and yanking it away, and leaping on top of the table in front of the goon.

SAWING GOON: Don't hurt me!

SPIDER-MAN: I won't, unless you try something like that again. Now, question time: Who do you work for?

SAWING GOON: You're asking the wrong guy, I-I-I just handle the heavy-lifting!

Spider-man shoots webs around the goons legs, and then the ceiling. He then pulls the goon up until he is dangling in front of him.

SPIDER-MAN: Great, now that you've got that joke out of the way, I could use some truth.

SAWING GOON: Ok, ok! I don't know his real name, b-but he goes by "The Tinkerer"! That's all I know, I swear!

SPIDER-MAN: See, that wasn't so hard, was it?

Spider-man gets off the table, and starts to walk out of the warehouse. The goon yells behind him.

SAWING GOON: You can't just leave me like this!

SPIDER-MAN: Don't worry, those webs will dissolve in an hour. Until then just… Hang out, I guess.

Spidey finishes walking out the warehouse, and we get a voiceover by Peter Parker.

PETER: This was just the first stop of a long night of headaches, but it was easy compared to what I'd be seeing now.

SCENE 2

Open on Peter Parker in a cafe with two people: Harry Osborn, and Flash Thompson. Each sips a drink, and although we can't hear them, they are talking.

PETER(voice over): These are my friends, Harry and Flash. Flash is a bit of a jerk, and more than a bit dumb, but he's cool. Harry's my real best friend. It was just like any other Saturday; school was out, we were on our way to work on our "secret project" and we got caffeinated up.

PETER: So, you guys, who has money for these drinks?

FLASH: Crap, I totally forgot my wallet.

HARRY: Yeah, yeah, I know the story.

Peter and Flash respond with a laugh, as Harry pulls out a wallet and leaves a 10 by their cups. The group walk out of the cafe, and down the street. Varying shots of the group, until they enter a grassy area, with broken furniture, and sewage pipes.

FLASH: So, Peter, do you have that thing?

PETER: Of course I do.

Just then, another teenager approaches. He is happy, and jogging over to them. This is Johnny Storm.

JOHNNY: Hey, whats up guys?

HARRY: Christ, it's Storm.

JOHNNY: Yeah, sure, what's up?

PETER: Science stuff. You wouldn't be interested.

JOHNNY: Flash is here. He's not very science-oriented.

FLASH: This is cool science though.

Peter pulls a series of plastic bottles with varying liquids from his bag. He also pulls out a glass flask. He begins pouring the various liquids, and stirring them, before putting a cork into it and shaking the whole bottle. He removes the cork and pours a thick, gray, goop out of it.

HARRY: What is it?

PETER: A form of rubber meant to be elastic, shape, and stretch in ways normal rubber can't. Its also incredibly strong, to separate, you need a force of about 200 tons. Luckily though, it disappears in an hour.

JOHNNY: How'd you make this?

PETER: The first time was on accident. Last year we were studying spiders, and how they make their webs. I wanted to mimic the process, but made this instead.

FLASH: I don't know, still looks kind of… webby to me.

PETER: I guess you're right. We had to make it back here where nobody's around because the goo is still in its testing stages. Its flammable, combustible, and generally dangerous until I perfect the solution.

JOHNNY (looks at watch): Oh my god, I forgot I need to get to Susan's boyfriends place! He's doing some weird study of the cosmos that he wants me there, for some reason.

HARRY: Isn't that guy Reed Richards? The scientist part of the Baxter Building space program?

JOHNNY: That would be him. I'm sure Oscorp pays a pretty penny to make sure he actually sees space.

HARRY: That, they do.

FLASH: Oscorp? Baxter Building Space Program? God, I must be out of touch. I don't know what any of those are.

HARRY: I'll explain it on the way back. Oscorp isn't that big of a name yet, but it will be, soon enough.

PETER (voiceover): I wasn't sure just how soon that would be. Oscorp, at the time, made appliances and other electronics. Harry told us they were looking into chemical research, which was his Father's true vision. Norman Osborn was a different kind of nut. He was smart, quick with a joke, and thought of Flash and I as if we were family. Sometimes, I would be having a rough time at school, no doubt thanks to my other life, and Norman would help me catch up, and even use his laboratories. I really liked Norman Osborn, is what I should say.

Cut to Norman Osborn in a meeting with three other people. They are Adrian Toomes, Reporter Eddie Brock, and Lead Scientist Otto Octavius.

PETER(voiceover): After my Uncle Ben died, I started going to Norman more and more. This time, however, my Spider-sense was going off like crazy. I had to check it out.

We see Spidey crawl up the wall towards the window to the meeting hall. He peeks his head just above the railing so he can see, and the conversation begins.

NORMAN: Gentleman, I am pleased to announce a new future for Oscorp. We're moving beyond my initial goals. We are developing weapons for the United States Military.

OTTO: Norman, that's incredible. Are you sure, however, that it's practical for the company.

NORMAN: I thought of that, Dr. Octavius. I have already had a division working on weaponizing our current projects, and as of now, Dr. Adrian Toomes will be in charge of the Goblin Division.

SPIDER-MAN: Goblin division? Could that be what my spider-sense in going on about?

TOOMES: I thank you, greatly, Dr. Osborn. I am to insure the operations proceed smoothly, and without interruption.

NORMAN: Yes. Now, Mr. Brock, do you have any questions?

BROCK: I do. There is rumor that you have been experimenting on living beings, is that true?

NORMAN: Yes. No mammals, however. We have been experimenting using the untapped parties of insects, arachnids, and reptiles. I have a Dr. Connors in charge of all three.

SPIDER-MAN: This doesn't exactly sound dangerous. Why was I freaking out?

BROCK: Another question. What is your opinion on the rumors that Oscorp created Spider-man?

NORMAN: (pauses) Mr. Brock, I cannot take that responsibility. Even so, if his creation is in part due to Oscorp, it only through thievery and modification, it's not like we created him in a test tube.

BROCK: (chuckles) Oh man, sorry sir, I'm new to this whole thing. One last question: What will the Goblin Division be producing?

NORMAN: I'm glad you asked, Mr. Brock. We are developing the Goblin serum, which shall be used to augment soldiers in our military. The serum itself is fully functional, we just need to perfect certain side effects.

BROCK: Thank you, Dr. Osborn, Dr. Octavius, Dr. Toomes. This will look good on the Daily Bugles front page. Oh, and a side-note- I'd love to come back for an update on the chemical weapons.

SPIDER-MAN: Ok, that's probably it.

Eddie squints past Norman and spies Spidey crawling down the building. He says nothing though, shakes hands with Norman, and leaves.

SCENE 3

Peter is alone in his room, on his laptop, We see him rifle through pdfs of chemical equations, and eventually go to the Oscorp website. He shuffles through tabs, and eventually stops on a locked page.

PETER: Damn. I'm gonna need some help with this.

Peter pulls out a cellphone, and quickdials someone. We hear them over the phone.

PETER: Hey, it's me.

MJ: Peter? Really, right now?

PETER: I know, I know, but I figured you would be able to crack this.

MJ: Just send me the link, Parker.

PETER: Look, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-

MJ: Stop. I'll help you out. You just… (sigh) I gave you this number not so you could just get me to crack a page for you any hour of the night.

PETER: It's not that late, it's only…

Glance at clock. Reads: 2:27

PETER: Right. Sorry.

MJ: Oh, Peter… alright, I have the link. Why are you looking into Oscorp files?

PETER: My spider-sense was going off crazy about it, I have to find out what's going on here.

MJ: Ok. The passcode is… 7787566.

PETER: Got it… whoa… MJ, are you seeing this?

MJ: Yeah… there's a ton here. Stuff that is definitely worth two bulging white eyes to check out.

PETER: Just another day in the life.

MJ: Yeah, I'm gonna have to hang up now. I have a huge test tomorrow.

PETER: Same thing here. Well, I'll see you tomorrow. I lov-

The call ends before Peter can finish his sentence. He pockets his phone and sighs. He glances over to his closet, where we can see his suit hanging, motionlessly. Back to Peter, who removes his glasses, and with a stern look on his face, approaches the closet.

SCENE 4

Oscorp science labs. Adrian Toomes oversees several scientists carry a heavy container of green liquid over to a compressing machine. Spidey sneaks around behind them. A heavy swinging door opens, and we see a struggling man covered in tattoos being escorted by several scientists, he is strapped to a turning bed on wheels (don't know what they're actually called)

MAC: Let me go! I want out!

TOOMES: (preparing syringe of green liquid) Mac Gargan, the gang member called Scorpion. I vaguely remember reading an article about you. Didn't you kill a poor old woman after she denied you her purse?

MAC: Lies! Slander! It's all the Bugle's fault!

TOOMES: At any rate, your name is wanted in half the country. Stay calm for these experiments, and maybe we can change that.

MAC: You're crooked! Get me out!

TOOMES: Then again… it's not like you have any choice in the matter.

Toomes injects Mac with the syringe in his arm. Mac screams during the process, and starts to hyperventilate.

TOOMES: I can assure you, Scorpion, that this is unlike any drug you've ever been on. Think of it as a kind of steroid, a super-soldier serum. We call it the Goblin serum. It will augment your strength, agility and reflexes. We aren't sure what else it will do, but hey, that's what experimentation is for, right?

MAC: You're insane!

TOOMES: (visibly angry) And you're going to be scrubbed off the streets of New York if you don't comply.

We see Spidey crawling along the ceiling, watching these events unfold.

MAC: I… will… drink… your… blood!

TOOMES: The serum is starting to take effect. We can expect a strength increase of about 500 percent. Be very careful, this man can crush a skull normally, there's no telling what he'll do to you if you get in his way. Release him.

Scientists unrestrain Mac, who lunges for Toomes. He picks him up by his neck, although Toomes doesn't struggle.

MAC: Give me one reason I don't snap you in half like the toothpick you are!

TOOMES: I believe Dr. Octavius has that covered.

Otto Octavius, using a metallic harness with tentacles Prys Mac off of Toomes, and turns him upside down.

OTTO: Toomes! What is the meaning of this?!

TOOMES: Well, dear Otto, the Scorpion here is our first human test subject for the Goblin serum.

OTTO: Have you lost your mind?

TOOMES: It's possible. Still, the results… I'm less than happy with.

Toomes pulls a pistol out of his jacket pocket, and aims it at Mac's head. He shoots him dead.

OTTO: (dropping Mac's body) Toomes! What on Earth are you doing?

TOOMES: Cleaning up the mess.

Toomes aims the gun at Otto, only for a web to arrive from off-screen onto the barrel of the gun. It's yanked away, and emerging from the shadows is Spider-man.

SPIDER-MAN: I'm not letting you kill Dr. Octopus over there, Toomes.

TOOMES: Ah, Spider-man. I've actually wanted to test this serum on you. Will your powers actually assist or negate the serum?

SPIDER-MAN: I'm not in the mood for games. I just saw you kill a man in cold blood.

TOOMES: This man had done plenty worse in his lifetime.

SPIDER-MAN: That's not for you to decide!

TOOMES: Enough! Do you understand what we have to accomplish by creating this Goblin serum?

OTTO: You have no right to kill a man like that!

TOOMES: If not me today, it's someone else next week.

SPIDER-MAN: I don't like this conversation at all. Instead, I think I'm just gonna knock your teeth out.

TOOMES: You can try, Spider-man, but you haven't met my dear friend Sergei.

SPIDER-MAN: Ser-

Spider-man is cut off by Kraven vaulting over his shoulders and throwing him to the ground. Spidey struggles against Kraven, who stamps him into the ground with his foot.

KRAVEN: Sergei Kravinoff, better known as Kraven the Hunter. Call me a mercenary if you will, but I was hired to take you out.

SPIDER-MAN: When did you do that?!

TOOMES: When we realized you would try to stop us.

SPIDER-MAN: We?! Who else is in on this?!

TOOMES: The Osborns, of course. Both of them.

SPIDER-MAN (voiceover): I wasn't ready to believe it. Neither of them were ever cruel, and Harry had been my friend since middle school.

SCENE 5

We see a young Peter and Harry, being chased by a pack of bullies. Peter trips up, and drops his glasses. The bullies are getting closer. Harry pushes Peter away, and yells to him.

YOUNG HARRY: Run, Peter, I'll get them!

The bullies surround Harry, and start wailing on him. He curls up into a fetal position as the bullies beat and kick him. They eventually get bored and leave him beaten on the ground. Young Peter rushes to his friends side, who, still laying on the ground, manages to hand him his glasses.

SCENE 6

Peter wakes up in a back-alley way, completely confused. He doesn't know how much time has passed, but it is early in the morning. He stands up, aching all over. He groans, and moans, and eventually clutches his arm in seething pain. He then holds his hand to his head.

SPIDER-MAN: Spider-sense is killing me! What did they do to me?... And why would they leave me alive?

We then are brought back to the lab, where Kraven watches Toomes and Octavius mix Spidey's blood into the green solution. They then put the concoction into a machine. Octavius crosses his arms in disgust and disappointment at Toomes.

OTTO: We've gone too far, Dr. Toomes. The only reason I haven't bailed on this project is because I trust Norman's choice of project leader.

TOOMES: Dr. Octavius, while I will admit to being more intense than other scientists here, I will put the security of the project over all else. If that means someone loses a head, so be it.

OTTO: And what of the Spider-man?

TOOMES: With his blood, the serum will constantly be fighting for dominance. When the serum is in total control, the body can't handle it, and shuts down in mere moments. The blood of the one you and the rest of New York have called "Spider-man" will be crucial in acting as a counterbalancing agent.

OTTO: Frankly, I'm surprised you didn't kill him.

TOOMES: I may be mad, but I'm not an idiot, Dr. Octavius. We have his blood. If he's smart, he knows that means we have the key to his secret identity. He'll leave us alone, unless he wants to make the front page with his mask off.

OTTO: You most certainly are clever.

KRAVEN: You forget, one thing.

The scientists turn to Kraven.

KRAVEN: He also knows our identities. He doesn't need to beat us in hand-to-hand combat if he just tells the police.

TOOMES: But we will have his blood-

KRAVEN: Useless if the entire serum is under control of the NYPD. Let me find the Spider-man, and put an end to your useless insurance.

OTTO: We needn't kill him-

KRAVEN: As I recall, Dr. Octavius, you are not my employer. That being said, you will not be immune to the downfall, if Spider-man were to report us to the police.

TOOMES: Believe me, Kraven, you are more than capable of destroying the Spider-man single-handedly. But this time, I want an accomplice of my mine to join you.

Toomes gestures down the hall.

TOOMES: Mr. Systevich?

The Rhino, in his modified suit storms through the doors, cracks his neck and stands by Toomes side.

RHINO: Dr. Toomes. What is your pointy-nosed Vulture head looking for?

TOOMES: Sergei Kravinoff, this is your companion for the mission. Aleksel Systevich, the Rhino.

KRAVEN: Systevich?

Kraven approaches the Rhino, sizing him up.

KRAVEN: Do not slow me down.

RHINO: Do not anger me.

KRAVEN: I have handled uglier brutes than you, my friend, though there are few.

RHINO: And I have squashed smaller insects than you, my friend, though there are few.

TOOMES: Gentlemen, let us save these petty squabbles for a later date. I must also reveal that there is one above even me.

RHINO: Who?

TOOMES: Norman Osborn. He has employed the help of one other, one who answers only to him. The rest of you are my playthings, but not this person. He is a weapons engineer and master of mechanical engineering. It just so happens his gifts are for hire.

OTTO: Who is he?

TOOMES: Dr. Smythe. Allistair Smythe.

EPISODE 2

SCENE 1

Peter crawls into his bedroom through his window, and collapses onto his bed. He removes his mask. He quickly stuffs it under his pillow, and rolls up his sleeve. His arm is pale. (Panicking) he quickly rolls his sleeve back up and covers up in a thick hoodie and pants. He fumbles his phone in his hands before finally calling MJ.

PETER: MJ!

MJ: What Peter? School starts in half-an-hour!

PETER: Really? I thought yesterday was Friday!

MJ: No, dummy! Get over here!

PETER: Ok! I'll talk to you there!

Peter darts out of his room, grabs his bag, and rushes out of the front door. He makes a mad dash towards the school. We then see him at the school, outside, where MJ is waiting. Peter keels over at MJ's feet.

MJ: Oh my god, Peter, are you ok?

PETER: No, they-they did something to me!

Peter stands back up. MJ quickly rushes them both to the back of the school. Peter seems ready to faint.

MJ: Start from the beginning.

PETER: Norman Osborn… he has… has people working on chemical weapons… for the military… I saw them try it on… a person… then they killed him… they wanted my blood… next thing I know… I wake up in an alleyway.

MJ: Well they must have taken a lot of it!

PETER: That's not it… I think… they put something else in there… it's… blocking my spider-sense. And… it's draining me.

MJ: You can't be here! Go home, have Aunt May take care of you.

PETER: I wish I could. But you know I can't even hint at Spider-man.

MJ: Well, find someone.

PETER: I have an idea.

SCENE 2

Spidey is swinging, but his line is suddenly cut. He crashes onto a rooftop. He is dazed, but gets up, to see Kraven and Rhino standing before him.

SPIDER-MAN: Oh, great. You again.

KRAVEN: Feeling a bit woozy, Spider-man?

SPIDER-MAN: Yeah, I guessed it was you.

RHINO: All the easier to crush you.

SPIDER-MAN: That guy, I don't know. Now, what do you want?

KRAVEN: It seems my employer overlooked some loose ends. He has sent us to… tie them up, as it were.

SPIDER-MAN (voiceover): I knew I wasn't going to be able to take them both on. Lucky me, I had a bit of help.

A rock thuds against Rhino's head, and both villains turn. Flash Thompson is there, armful of rocks. He chucks another one, which Kraven catches and crushes. Flash gasps, but throws another.

SPIDER-MAN: Flash! Run!

Spidey launches a web at the back of Kravens head, and yanks him backwards. Rhino charges towards Flash, who narrowly ducks beneath the behemoths legs. Spider-man spin kicks Kraven, who recovers and tries to stab him. Spidey dodges and punches Kraven in the chin. Flash this time catches Kraven in the back of the head. Kraven staggers, giving Spidey time to sweep him up with his leg, and knock him out. Rhino charges again, Spidey webbing his arm and whipping it around. Rhino catches his own fist in his face, and he thuds to the ground, unconscious. Both Spider-man and Flash are wheezing, out of breath. Spider-man collapses on his bottom.

SPIDER-MAN: Awesome, man.

FLASH: How'd you know my name?

SPIDER-MAN: I, uh… I did say your name, didn't I?

FLASH: Who are you?

Spider-man removes mask, to Flash's surprise. Flash backs up, nearly tripping off the building. Peter stands up, and quickly launches a web, catching Flash before he falls.

FLASH: Peter! Holy crap!

SPIDER-MAN: What are you doing up here?

FLASH: My dad is a real estate agent, I was in the building. I heard some commotion, and came up here.

SPIDER-MAN: On a school day?

FLASH: Yeah, I was "sick" today.

SPIDER-MAN: What was the real reason?

FLASH: Didn't feel like going. It's almost the end of the year anyway.

SPIDER-MAN: Yeah, I guess that's true.

FLASH: So, um… how'd you… get… powers?

SPIDER-MAN: Would you believe me if I told you it was a radioactive spider-bite? 'Cause thats it.

FLASH: When was that?

SPIDER-MAN: About a month ago.

FLASH: Where you headed now?

SPIDER-MAN: I need to see Reed Richards. Those guys I just fought-

FLASH: WE just fought

SPIDER-MAN: Yeah, we, they did something to me. I can't think straight. They totally butchered my spider-sense, and I think Dr. Richards might be the only one I can trust to help me.

FLASH: Get over there, Peter. God, I can't believe my best friend is Spider-man! Dude, you have no idea how cool I think he-you- are!

SPIDER-MAN: Thanks Flash. Tell no one, or I will seriously tell coach what you were up to during "practice."

FLASH: You got it, Spidey!

SPIDER-MAN: Don't call me that. Actually, do, it's got a nice ring to it.

SCENE 3

Reed Richards foolishly left the window to his office open, allowing Spidey to slip inside, undetected. Reed is currently drawing up blueprints to a rocket. Spidey limps behind him, before finally speaking.

SPIDER-MAN: I really hope you're not just a doctor of physics and engineering, 'cause I could really use some medical treatment.

Reed turns around and catches Spidey just before he falls to the ground unconscious. He sits Spidey(barely awake) in an office chair, and quickly removes his mask.

REED: My god! Just how old are you!

SPIDER-MAN: Seventeen… in like, three months.

REED: So you're the famous Spider-man?

SPIDER-MAN: Yeah, let's cut to the chase. I was fighting some goon, and he must have hit me with some kind of poison. My spider-sense won't work, and I can barely stand up.

REED: Who did this?

SPIDER-MAN: I don't think you'd know him, unless you're in alliance with the "Tall, Dark, and Angry Club".

REED: Hmmm… well, when I was studying biology- which I don't have a doctorate in, mind you-, I met a man in Africa who used a kind of poison that would cripple his prey's senses and eventually cause them to pass out. His name was Sergei Kravinoff.

SPIDER-MAN: That's him!

REED: Kraven the Hunter, they called him. He also showed me how to cure the poison. I might be able to help you, although he never showed me the proper dosage for a human. We'll just take it slow, ok?

SPIDER-MAN: O… ok…

Spidey passes out in his chair.

SCENE 4

A young Peter is doing his homework, when a spider crawls across his paper. Peter jumps away. The spider remains motionless on his paper, and Peter crunches his eyes and waits fr it to go away. Peter then wakes up.

SCENE 5

PETER: Gah! I remember… I used to be an Arachnophobe. Funny how things turn out.

REED: (walking back with a glass of water) You say something, Spider-man?

PETER: Yeah… you don't know who I am, right?

REED: (handing Peter back the glass of water) No. I guess you'd like to keep it that way?

PETER: It's nothing personal. (Peter sips the water)

REED: Well, while you were catching some z's, I administered the antidote. You should be plenty chipper in no more than an hour.

PETER: You're not gonna run any "Lawnmower Man" experiments on me, are you?

REED: Not unless you want me to.

PETER: To which I raise on finger with a resounding "yes"!

REED: You are a funny one, aren't you?

PETER: You kind of have to be in this job. It's the only thing that motivates you to face guys with lightning powers, or giant robots. Or, apparently, Kraven.

REED: Interesting. Excuse me, Spider-man, but I have to meet an associate in the lobby. A friend of mine named Dr. Allistair Smythe. As you can guess, it's crucial I meet with him.

PETER: Yeah, I'd better swing out of here myself.

Just then, Peter clutches his head, and winces in pain.

PETER(voiceover): Spider-sense is back, at least. Something about that name. I'd better check it out.

SCENE 6

Reed Richards meets up with Dr. Smythe. They shake hands, and talk as they walk down the halls.

REED: So, Smythe, what brings you to New York?

SMYTHE: Well, Dr. Richards, I have been hired by Oscorp to oversee their mechanical division. It seems that, currently, the staff is a little lax there, now that they've moved onto chemical research.

REED: They could have asked me.

SMYTHE: I believe they wanted me because of my father's reputation.

REED: Spencer Smythe? Yes, I can see how that would make you look.

SMYTHE: I assume I'm a prize to be won. Oddly enough though, they wish for help to protect themselves from threats greater than you or me.

REED: What's that?

SMYTHE: Well, you know, in recent years, there has been a major increase in those with apparent superpowers.

We see Spider-man crawling along the ceiling, above Smythe.

SMYTHE: There's that mutant group, the X-men. There's that monstrosity, the Hulk I believe is the working name… and then there's Spider-man.

REED: Really? Oscorp is worried about Spider-man?

SMYTHE: Have you not been reading the Daily Bugle? Of course they're worried. He's a menace.

REED: I thought you were smarter than this, Smythe. Don't believe everything that you read.

SMYTHE: Regardless, he poses a threat to Oscorp, and I am not going to welsh on my duty.

REED: Everyday you sound more and more like your father.

SMYTHE: Oh, I'm not nearly as smart as that old fool.

Spidey crawls away, out of sight.

SCENE 7

Norman Osborn invites Otto Octavius and Adrian Toomes into his office. He gestures for them to sit down. Octavius is clearly concerned.

NORMAN: I understand that a certain Spider has thrown a wrench into our plans?

TOOMES: That would be correct.

NORMAN: And due to an oversight, you let him get away? Alive?

OTTO: As he should be.

NORMAN: Dr. Octavius, I respect your opinion, but it seems you had a hand in this too, you should be just as concerned as us.

TOOMES: I have dispatched two agents to finish the job. With how weak he is, it should be no problem.

NORMAN: Then wouldn't you be surprised to know that my men found them both, bruised and beaten on a rooftop? I've had enough of these games, Dr. Toomes. Give me the goblin serum.

TOOMES: Sir, it's not fully tested-

OTTO: Dr. Osborn, I highly recommend you do not-

NORMAN: Silence! If you will recall, you two failed! And then the other idiots failed! If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself, and that's what I intend to do! Key in Allistair Smythe when he arrives, I'll be in the lab.

Norman storms out of his office, leaving the two in worried silence.

We then see Norman in the lab, finding a syringe labeled "Experimental Product-Goblin Serum". He plunges the needle into his arm and groans audibly. The groan turns into a slight chuckle, and then a bloodcurdling laugh. He rips the needle out of him, and says

NORMAN: Well then… time to crush a spider.

Just when Norman starts to walk, he collapses to the ground in pain; He grips his head, and starts having a flashback.

SCENE 8

Norman is in his office, when a young Peter walks in, helping a limping Harry. Norman rushes over and helps Harry onto a chair. He starts to use his tie to clean the blood on his lip. He turns to Peter.

NORMAN: What happened?

YOUNG PETER: Bullies chased after us. I lost my glasses, and Harry went to get them back.

YOUNG HARRY: Peter helped me here… he's a real hero.

NORMAN: I guess he is, kind of, but you're the one who risked his own safety. Peter helped you, and I thank him for that, but you stuck your neck out for him. You didn't just stick it out, you held a knife to it and dared those bullies to push it.

PETER: Will Harry be ok?

NORMAN: Nothing stops a hero like him.

SCENE 9

NORMAN: A hero like him… Is my son, the Spider-man? (evil Goblin) Does it matter? His head will be mounted on a pole by midnight. (normal) No… I should have listened to Dr. Toomes. I have to get this stuff out of me. (Goblin) You will, Normy, but first, we must kill him. (normal) I'm… not… going to kill my- (Goblin) Yes you will! My sympathies towards the billionaire CEO of the single largest chemical weapons manufacturer in the state, but we have to get a move on!

Norman exits the lab, cackling beneath his breath. We find him in a sort of armory. He sheds his suit in favor of bulletproof padding and armor.

NORMAN: (Goblin) Missing something… green.

Norman leaves the Oscorp building and heads inside a Halloween shop nearby.

SCENE 10

Peter bursts into the school. The bell rings immediately, and students begin pouring out of the rooms and out the door Peter just came through. An angry sigh from Peter is met by the gentle rapping on his shoulder by Harry Osborn.

HARRY: What's up, Pete? Where were you all day?

PETER: Believe me, it is a long story.

The two walk out of the school, and sit on a bench outside of it.

PETER: I met Dr. Richards today.

HARRY: Really? How?

PETER: Research for an experiment. You know that goo I've been working on? That. Anyway, he had some interesting words. About your father's company.

Harry is visibly worried, and furrows his brow.

PETER: Norman Osborn's men are working on some kind of advanced military weaponry. You know that, but we're talking stuff that could break the Geneva Convention. Specifically, something called the Goblin Serum. From what Dr. Reeds says, it sounds like that's not the only thing they're working on. Dr. Alistair Smythe, from Houston? Working on mechanical weapons for Oscorp.

HARRY: Peter, this is all new to me. I'm not as involved with the company as some people fantasize. I only heard about the militarization in passing, let alone a Goblin Serum. Come to think of it, my father did mention a break in last night. A break-in by Spider-man. Do you think he's somehow involved?

PETER: Could be, could not. If he's related at all, it's probably to stop whatever it is.

HARRY: You heard all of this from Dr. Richards?

PETER: He works closely with your father sometimes. Tell your father what you know now, maybe shake some sense into him, It's not like him to just up and break the law like this, I think it's just Dr. Toomes and Dr. Octavius.

HARRY: You're right. Thank you Peter.

Harry, visibly upset, speed-walks away, towards a bus stop offscreen. Peter is left alone on the bench. We follow Harry, who is not alone at the bus station. A man in a large trenchcoat, who's face is covered, is also there. Harry sits down in a huff, and the trenchcoat man laughs.

NORMAN: (Goblin) The young Osborn, aren't you?

HARRY: Who asks?

The trenchcoat figure removes the har covering his face to reveal a green, goblin mask. Harry backs up, but the Goblin picks him up by his shirt collar.

NORMAN: (Goblin) Well, Spider-man, if you must know who asks, you may call me The Green Goblin. Catchy, huh?

The Goblin cackles maniacally, as he drags Harry into a car and drives away.

EPISODE 3

SCENE 1

For the first time, we see all six of Osborn's crew in the lab. Norman Osborn is himself again. Dr. Toomes and Dr. Octavius stand side by side. Dr. Smythe stands towards the entrance to the lab. Kraven and Rhino drift lazily between Osborn and Smythe.

SMYTHE: Dr's Octavius, Toomes, and Osborn, I presume?

NORMAN: You would presume correctly, Dr. Smythe.

SMYTHE: Who are the other two?

NORMAN: Security Dr. Toomes has employed. They are Aleksi Systevich- we call him Rhino, much easier- and Sergei Kravinoff, better known as Kraven the Hunter.

SMYTHE: You don't have to play innocent with me, Osborn. I already know what levels of illegality run through this lab. As long as I am getting paid, I could care less.

NORMAN: Then I'll want your first blueprint.

SMYTHE: Yes. I shall upload it to the Osborn main computer. In brief summary, I have analyzed every known defeat of the Spider-man- not an easy task, mind you- and have found several movement patterns that he falters on, be it he loses his balance, or if he is physically incapable of doing so. Along with that, I have ruled out a unique heat signature of his. His blood is point 0000000001 percent hotter than that of an average human. Such a small difference would have no bearing, but when we couple that with the levels of radiation in his blood, we are able to create a tracking point for my machines to target. I call them… Spider Slayers.

OTTO: Dr. Richards has recently contacted me, and he regretfully informs us he will not be joining our project.

NORMAN: No need. (Goblin) The Sinister Six has no need for pushovers. (Osborn) I mean, quite frankly, Richards has other matters to attend to, and I would not want him setting them aside for Oscorp.

SMYTHE: (hesitant) Right. Also, I like that name. The Sinister Six. In truth, what science is not sinister, yes?

KRAVEN: Dr. Smythe. I have great questions for you, and your skill with mechanical engineering. If you could appropriate me a weapon fit for the dissection of the miserable fool that is Spider-man, I would owe you a great debt.

SMYTHE: Yes, I shall see what I can do.

NORMAN: So it's settled! The Sinister Six shall be rid of the Spider-man!

SCENE 2

Harry wakes up in a locked room. He is groggy, but panicky. It is a very small, metal room, with a television hooked up in the corner. When he fully stands up, the set turns on. The Green Goblin appears on the screen.

NORMAN: (Goblin) Well well well. Spider-man. Don't tell anyone I have you here, ok? My crew is currently looking for you, to kill you. I haven't told them I have you here, in fact, I lied to them that you were still on the loose.

HARRY: Who are you?! Let me go!

NORMAN:(Goblin) I understand you may be fearful, right now. Don't worry. Your death will be slow, and very painful, but I can assure you will have a fantastic funeral. I don't know if you've noticed, but there isn't any ventilation in your cell. When you run out of oxygen, it's game over. You will drown above water.

HARRY: You're crazy! Let me out! Let me out! Let me go!

An intercom comes on, and we hear the Goblin.

NORMAN: (Goblin) Do you know how much this pains your father? It took a hell of a lot of convincing, and just a few ounces of an experimental drug made for combat soldiers that drove him mad to even get you in here.

HARRY: M-my father?

NORMAN: (Goblin) Oh yes, Harry. But once he knew who you were… well there was no going back. He was going to fulfill his dream. It's a shame you had to be an obstacle.

HARRY: I-I-I'm not Spider-man! I'm your son! I'm your son!

NORMAN: (Norman) Son, I-I can't have you stopping me. This is for the greater good.

HARRY: W-what if I can convince you I'm not Spider-man?

NORMAN: (Goblin) Fat chance!

The Green Goblin cackles over the intercom before it shuts off.

SCENE 3

We see Eddie Brock in an alleyway. He is taking pictures of a mold growing on the wall outside of a restaurant. His camera flashes, and a soft THUD from behind causes him to turn and face Spider-man.

BROCK: Oh, Spider-man. Cool.

SPIDER-MAN: Really? Cool? You see a superhero and you say "cool"?

BROCK: I live in New York. There's nothing new to me.

Brock turns around and snaps another picture. He then turns back to Spidey.

BROCK: What brings you to little old me, Spider?

SPIDER-MAN: You were in a meeting with Norman Osborn. Did you get anything out of him about something called the "Goblin Serum"?

BROCK: Nada. I saw you at that meeting too.

SPIDER-MAN: Sorry to bug you then, I guess I'll be going…

BROCK: Actually, can I take your picture? For the Bugle?

SPIDER-MAN: Oh, so someone can write about me being a menace? Thanks, I'll pass.

BROCK: I don't think you're that bad. In fact, I think you're doing a terrific thing.

SPIDER-MAN: What?

BROCK: I can tell. You're some innocent kid. Voice gives it away. Otherwise, you are one short lady, Spider-man.

SPIDER-MAN: Well, that was self-respect boosting.

BROCK: So what do ya say?

SPIDER-MAN: Alright, just make it quick.

Brock quickly snaps a photo of Spider-man.

SCENE 4

Peter is reading an article called "SPIDER-MAN, GOOD, BAD, OR BOTH", with Brock's picture on the front of the paper. He is at a bus stop. He looks worried, because Harry hasn't shown up yet. Flash and Miles Morales walk by, and sit next to Peter.

MILES: What's up, Pete?

PETER: Hey Miles.

FLASH: Hey, you seen Harry?

PETER: No… it's weird. He's late sometimes… but never this late.

MILES: Oh, you reading that new Bugle? See, I think Spider-man is one of us. One of the good guys. Walks the streets, pays the bills.

FLASH: Yeah, unless his aunt pays them for him…

Peter glares at Flash, but Miles didn't hear him.

MILES: What do you guys think?

FLASH: Spidey is definitely one of us. No doubt about it. You don't see him robbing banks, or killing people.

PETER: I don't know. I think he might be one of those mutants everyone cries about.

MILES: Those guys are in San Francisco. No, Spider-man is just like you or me. Probably like you, I mean, you'd never catch me in tights like that.

FLASH: Oh you have no idea.

MILES: Flash gets it!

PETER: Still… I wonder where Harry is…

Just then, Miles phone buzzes. He pulls it out, and frowns at the screen.

MILES: Uh… guys… I don't think anyone knows where he is.

SCENE 5

Newscast. Anchor describes situation as pictures of Harry circulate behind him.

NEWS: Today, at 3:00 pm, Harold Osborn was reported as missing. His father, owner of the illustrious Oscorp, commented, saying not only would he give his own life, but all of Oscorp for anyone to find his missing son. Police announced the boy to most likely have been abducted from his school. Whether or not he was targeted, is unknown. Police have questioned several of his teachers, as well as fellow students, to no avail..

SCENE 6

Eddie Brock is sneaking down the hall of an empty Oscorp building. He snaps various pictures, and takes out a voice recorder.

BROCK: Note; Spider-man hinted at something called the Goblin serum. Only reference to the project I could hack was a list of test subjects. Numbered, not named. Currently trying to find the location of any test subjects in what I believe to be some sort of detention center.

We see Harry barely conscious in his cell. He jerks at the sound of Brocks footsteps. He quicky stands up and bangs on his door.

HARRY: Help me! Get me out!

Brock quickly drops his camera and recorder and races to the door.

BROCK: Hello?!

HARRY: Help, they're gonna kill me!

Brock smashes the doors passcode lock with his boot, and yanks it open. A gasping Harry falls on top of him. They both quickly stand up.

BROCK: Who are you?

HARRY: Harry Osborn- my dad, he-

BROCK: I know! We have to get you out of-

HARRY: Please! It's not enough to get out of the building! He has an entire gang working for him- a Sinister Six, he calls it- all of whom are under his payroll.

Brocks grabs Harry by the arms.

BROCK: Harry! I swear, I will get you out of here.

Harry calms down, and the two make a mad dash throws the building. They arrive at the front entrance and burst through the doors, only to be caught by Dr. Octavius. They struggle against his mechanical arms to no use.

OTTO: Well, Mr. Brock, Harry, it seems we are a bit of an impass.

BROCK: Let us go… Dr…. Octopus!

OTTO: How very creative, Mr. Brock. Unfortunately, I cannot allow either of you to leave at the moment.

Flash to Dr. Octavius tying both Harry and Brock up. Both are restrained in the lab, their sleeves rolled up. Harry is almost in tears, fighting. Dr. Octavius approaches the two with syringes, humming a melody to himself.

OTTO: I hope you both know, under no circumstance would I want to do this. However, I trust Norman. Even if he is irrational, at times, he has proven me wrong in the past. I do not think he will mind very much if I try new strains of Goblin serum on you two, yes?

Before either can respond, Dr. Octavius injects Brock with a vial of black serum. He screams in pain.

OTTO: This particular is strain incorporates a large amount of Spider-man's own DNA, as well as a large amount of bacteria which form a sort of symbiote. I call this particular strain of Goblin Serum, Venom.

Brock kicks and screams, before turning to Harry.

BROCK: Don't worry, kid, we'll make it through this!

Black tendrils shoot out of Brock, wrapping themselves around him. A large, prehensile tongue shoots out of his mouth, lashing about wildly, surrounded by ravenous, sharp teeth. When the screaming stops, what is left is Venom.

OTTO: Ooh, an Interesting effect. Is it what we want though?

BROCK: (Venom) We… will… eat… your… bones!

OTTO: Interesting. It seems you are aware of the other entity within what is now your blood? This may be a problem… the symbiote is only supposed to augment your strength, not make its presence known… well, back to the drawing board for that one.

Dr. Octavius approaches Harry, who starts flailing again, to no avail. Otto is able to inject half of the syringe's contents into Harry, until he is pulled away from the boy. Venom lifts him high into the air, as he is now free from his restraints. Dr. Octavius tries to beat off Venom with his tentacles, but the beast is too tough. He slams Dr. Octavius' back onto his knee, killing him. The tentacles go limp, and and Venom tosses the body aside.

HARRY: Brock?!

BROCK: (Venom) We… will… protect… the boy… we… swore.

Venom rips open Harry's restraints, and helps the boy limp out of the lab. When they reach the exit, Harry starts to walk on his own. The two are almost out when Venom is shocked in the back. He screams in agony, as Kraven the Hunter paralyzes him with a stun baton. Harry runs, as Venom gets back up to face Kraven.

KRAVEN: There is no beast in this world I have not conquered.

BROCK: (Venom) Welcome to our world then, prick!

Venom lashes out, catching Kraven's shoulder. Kraven dodges the next blow, and makes for Venom's back. A tendril quickly slashes at him to defend against this. It wraps around Kraven's baton, minus the tip. Kraven quickly kicks the tendril around his leg, and yanks Venom back, causing him to land on the baton. The beast subsides, and all that is left is Brock. Kraven cuffs him with special Oscorp cuffs, and hauls him out of the lab.

KRAVEN: I guess I am the conqueror of two worlds.

SCENE 7

Peter is eating dinner with his aunt May. All is quiet, and May knows Peter is upset over Harry's disappearance. She doesn't know he's also mulling over Oscorp.

MAY: Peter, dear, I know Harry was- Is important in your life, but I'm sure he'll be found.

PETER: I sure hope so. I went to Oscorp to ask Dr. Osborn if there was any word on him, but, still, nothing.

PETER: (voiceover) I knew Norman Osborn headed the Goblin Serum project, but I still doubted he had any sort of connection towards the illegal stuff. Even he didn't know about Harry- which made me more nervous than anything else.

MAY: Well now, whining isn't going to make him come back. How about you help find him- tell the police everything you know. If Harry does turn up, you'll have had a part in it. I feel it's very important for you right now.

PETER: (voiceover) I knew she was right. But Peter Parker couldn't help find Harry.

SCENE 8

Open night, Spidey is on a rooftop gargoyle, crouching.

SPIDER-MAN: (voiceover) Spider-man had to.

Just then, a roar from behind, as Venom reveals himself to the audience. Spider-man quickly turns out of fright, and tries to shoot a web at Venom, but is too slow, and catches a swipe from Venom into an opposite building. Spidey is smashed through an office building, and groans as he gets up, surrounded by office workers. They run away in terror as Venom leaps into the building, snarling and growling.

BROCK: (Venom) Death to the Spider-man!

SPIDER-MAN: Oh, no, no, no, no!

Spidey backpeddles as the behemoth approaches. Spider-man throws an office chair at Venom, who smashes it mid-air.

SPIDER-MAN: What are you?!

BROCK: (Venom) Venom! For it is what we spew! We… are… hungry!

Venom lashes out with his tendrils, jabbing Spider-man in several places. Spidey stumbles to the ground once again.

SPIDER-MAN: This guy doesn't activate my spider sense! What gives?

Spider-man catches one of the tendrils, and pulls it, yanking Venom hard enough to throw him behind. He crashes into a wall, and after pulling himself away, Brock's face is revealed.

SPIDER-MAN: Eddie Brock?!

BROCK: Little Spider! The Sinister Six! They-they captured me, and they're mind-controlling this thing! Help me!

Venom's face heals over Brock's.

BROCK: (Venom) That's enough out of the host.

Venom charges towards Spidey once more, who dodges and launches a web towards Venom' back. It slips through his flesh, and grounds itself onto Brock. Venom roars in pain as Spider-man tries to pull Eddie out. Unfortunately, Venom is too strong, and snaps the line with his claws.

BROCK: (Venom) No more games!

SPIDER-MAN: Man, even I don't talk as much!

Spider-man jumps and kicks Venom in the back of the head before he can turn around. He staggers, but grabs Spidey and chucks him out of the building. Spider-man grabs his head, and groans, as he flops down to the ground below. He stands up, painfully, as Venom jumps to street level.

SPIDER-MAN: So, what are you? Tar Pit Man? And I don't mean your name- you already gave me that, but like- where are you from?

BROCK: (Venom) Now look who's talking a lot. Dr. Octavius combined us. We killed him. Now we are his replacement in the Sinister Six.

SPIDER-MAN: I keep hearing that name, but what is it?

BROCK: (Venom) The six reapers of doom, with us as the slayer of the Spider-man.

Venom tries to catch Spidey with a right hook, but he dodges and kicks the beast in the gut. Venom staggers once more, but launches a web line at Spider-man. It attaches to his arm.

SPIDER-MAN: Uh oh.

Venom pulls the line and starts to swing Spidey over his head, eventually throwing him into a car. Spider-man is barely conscious now, but stands up, slowly.

SPIDER-MAN: I can't seem to phase this guy! There has to be something I can do. Think!

Just then, Spider-man spies a downed powerline giving off sparks in a large puddle of water, electrocuting the area. Venom charges Spider-man, but he stands his ground. He slips beneath Venom, and grabs his legs. He trips Venom, and picks him up. Venom is roaring with rage, and Spidey's strength can't contain him for long. Spider-man at last throws Venom into the downed line and electricity. The symbiote sizzles, and burns, roaring intensely. When the suit starts to dissolve, revealing Brock, Spidey sweeps in and saves him from the puddle. He is unconscious. Spider-man slaps him awake on top of the building he was on originally.

BROCK: what… what's going on?

SPIDER-MAN: You tell me, Tar Pit Man.

BROCK: Venom… is no longer my slaver. In the time he was fighting you, he… cherished me. He needs my body to live. No other is suited for him.

SPIDER-MAN: Are you really saying you want to keep this thing on you?

BROCK: We reached a mutual agreement. Unfortunately, that still means you have to die, Little Spider.

Without any warning, Brock punches Spidey in the face knocking him unconscious. Brock stands up, and the Venom suit forms over his body once more. He picks up Spider-man in two hands, and leaps away.

END

EPISODE 4

Opens one Eddie Brock, strung up by his wrists in a dank cell. He suddenly snaps awake, gasping, terrified. He is sweating.

BROCK: Hello?!

No answer.

BROCK: My other… w-where are we?

Venom forms over his body, except for his hands because they cannot reach them.

BROCK: (Venom) Brock… we are in the Oscorp building… our dark masters do not seek us at the moment.

Venom retreats below Brock's skin.

BROCK: It's no use. They have you brainwashed. You were made and grown to be dangerous, to kill Spider-man. But we're gonna get out of here, you and me.

Venom crawls over Brock's skin once more.

BROCK: (Venom) Never! We must serve the masters…

Venom retreats below Brock's skin.

BROCK: Sure, that's why you killed Dr. Octavius.

Brock tries to shake his chains, to no avail. Just then, a cell door opens in the distance. Footsteps approach, and Brock ceases his distress. The figure approaching him is revealed to be Dr. Osborn.

NORMAN: So, I heard you have taken up the name Venom. Like, the venom of a spider? It's pretty creative, I'll give you both that.

BROCK: Then you know we are separate beings.

NORMAN: Oh, yes. Before Dr. Octavius cursed you with having to share one body, Dr. Toomes tested the serum out on a different subject. He was going to file out the results, but it appears Dr. Octavius beat him to it. So, I'm obligated to ask: how does it feel?

BROCK: Venom and I have… spoken, you might say. Every moment we're not the beast, I'm drained. Venom feeds off of Eddie Brock's adrenaline. I have no energy. Due to your mind control, or brainwashing, or whatever it is, Venom can't help but overpower me when we are the beast. You gave him all the control.

NORMAN: As intended. Giving you control would mean you would have the means to defeat us. Spider-man is one thing, but Venom is on a whole new level. Speaking of, we believe you have made a deal with the symbiote regarding Spider-man.

BROCK: Yes. We kill Spider-man, and Venom won't drain me until I die. I also do get a fair amount of control- still less than him though.

NORMAN: This is unusual, you know. Our other test subject was not quite as reactive to his symbiote. You seem to have truly developed the sot of Jekyll and Hyde we were afraid of. Don't worry though, we'll bend you soon enough.

Norman walks away, into the darkness, but Eddie calls out to him as he goes.

EDDIE: Good talk, Doc!

SCENE 2

Spider-man is slapped awake by Dr. Toomes, surrounded by Kraven the Hunter and Rhino. His eyes quickly dart around as he notices he isn't wearing his mask, it is on the table in front of him, and he is bound to a rotating table of his own.

TOOMES: Wakey wakey, Spider-man.

SPIDER-MAN: Wh-where-

KRAVEN: Don't you even dare! I am so infuriated that I was beaten by a pre-pubescent boy such as yourself!

SPIDER-MAN: Hey! I'm not pre-pubescent!

RHINO: Being beaten by one teenager on a roof was humiliation enough, but two? You play with fire, red one.

SPIDER-MAN: What, you guys think I'm actually Spider-man?

The three villains turn to look at each other in confusion for a moment.

KRAVEN: Absolutely. Our associate Venom beat you and brought you here!

SPIDER-MAN: I'm a cosplayer! It's what I do!

TOOMES: Oh, boys, we have really screwed this one up.

SPIDER-MAN: Hey, thanks, actually. If I'm convincing enough to look like the real Spider-man, it's gotta be a testament to the suit, right?

RHINO: What should we do with him?

TOOMES: We can't keep him here, and we can't kill him. A boy his age, it'll be on the news all week! We have to have some sort of insurance to make sure he won't flap his lips about what he's seen.

SPIDER-MAN: I mean… to be honest, I haven't seen anything? All I've really seen is a guy who must have really liked the hippo scene from Ace Ventura Two, a guy who looks he just came back from the world's most intense safari, and stereotypical scientist number seventy-two.

RHINO: You saw Venom.

SPIDER-MAN: So did half of New York? And who am I to assume it's your fault?

TOOMES: Alright, alright, I've heard enough. We will let you go, if you swear to keep everything you've seen quiet. Not one small detail comes out your mouth.

SPIDER-MAN: Sure thing.

Kraven breaks Spidey's restraints, and he grabs his mask. Rhino escorts him to the front doors, but Spidey turns and speaks to Rhino.

SPIDER-MAN: Hey, big hippo guy.

RHINO: It's Rhino. Whatever you're about to say, make it quick, just seeing you in that costume makes me wanna squash you.

SPIDER-MAN: How come you're not the brains here? You clearly know how to interrogate someone, heck, you could be a police interrogator if you weren't so obviously a supervillain.

RHINO: I… uh…

SPIDER-MAN: Just some food for thought.

Spidey walks out the door, leaving Rhino standing by it, scratching his head in wonder.

SCENE 3

MJ is in her garage along with Gwen Stacy, Liz Allen, and Betty Brant, along with a lot of band equipment. MJ is wearing a guitar wrapped around her, Gwen is sitting at the drums, Liz and Betty are in a corner of the room. MJ is looking at her phone.

GWEN: Hey, MJ?

MJ: Yeah Gwen?

GWEN: Why are we the Mary Janes, and not something a bit less… all about you?

MJ looks away from her phone.

MJ: Really? Is it a problem?

GWEN: No, it's just… odd that your name is in the name of the band?

MJ: What if I told you my real name isn't Mary Jane? It's a nickname. My real name is Michelle.

GWEN: Why do you go by Mary Jane?

MJ: It was my mom's name.

GWEN: So… you go by a nickname… of a nickname.

MJ: Yes, and as far as your concerned, we are named after my mom.

Liz then moves to talk to MJ.

LIZ: MJ, they found Harry!

MJ: Harry? Really?

LIZ: Yes! Betty and I are going to go see him, right now!

MJ: You go on ahead, I have to tell Peter.

GWEN: Um, I'm going to stay with you, MJ.

Liz and Betty leave, and MJ rapidly dials Peter and starts to call. The phone rings a couple times before Peter (tired) answers.

PETER: Hello?

MJ: Harry's back.

PETER: The police found him?

MJ: I don't know, but he's back, for real!.

PETER: Damn. I was looking for him last night, but I ran into some big guy and-

MJ: I get it Peter. You should still come see him.

PETER: I wouldn't miss it for the world. Just promise me we'll get coffee?

SCENE 4

Harry is at the police station, waiting silently in the lobby. Surrounding him are Liz and Betty. Peter, Flash, MJ, Gwen, and Miles soon group around him when they come through the door.

BETTY: Harry! Are you ok? Please tell me they didn't hurt a hair on your pretty little head?

LIZ: They didn't do anything bad to our precious Harry, did they?

HARRY: Actually, they didn't touch me. They wanted me to die by suffocating.I know who did it, I'm just waiting for him to come.

Just then, Norman Osborn bursts into the room. He rushes over to Harry, pushing aside his friends, and embraces him. Two cops run up behind him and pull him off of Harry.

NORMAN: What is the meaning of this?! He's my son!

COP 1: We're sorry sir, but you are under arrest for the kidnapping and attempted murder of Harold Osborn.

NORMAN: No! I won't have it! He's my son! He's my son! (Goblin) The Sinister Six will gut you like the pigs you are!

COP 2: Not very smart to threaten a police officer, sir!

The first cop handcuffs Osborn, who is still struggling and raging.

NORMAN: Harry! This isn't the end! You too will succumb under the might of the Six!

The cops drag Norman out of the room, and the group of friends move back in on Harry.

PETER: What's wrong with Norman?

HARRY: He's ill. My dad has a split personality, He calls it the Green Goblin. It was the Goblin who tried to kill me. I just wish he didn't convince my dad it was necessary.

MILES: Who's the Sinister Six?

HARRY: As far as I know, it's my dad, Venom, and four others. I highly suspect Dr. Toomes to be one of them.

MJ gestures to Peter, and the two pull away from the crowd. They talk in hushed voices.

MJ: That's three. Tell me you know the others?

PETER: Yeah, some guy named Kraven the Hunter, some guy who calls himself Rhino, and Dr. Smythe.

Just then, a detective walks up behind Peter.

MARC: Peter Parker. May I have a word with you?

Peter turns to face him.

PETER: Who are you?

MARC: I'm Detective Spector, of the NYPD. We want to ask you a few questions.

Peter nods his head, and follows Spector into and interrogation room. They both sit down, and Spector removes his coat and hat.

MARC: Hello, Peter. My formal name is Marc Spector. I'm sorry if I frighten you, my colleagues say I can be a little… intense.

PETER: No, not at all, Detective Spector.

MARC: Right, I'd expect no less from the Spider-man.

Peter visibly gags.

PETER: Ex-excuse me?

MARC: Yes, Peter, I know about your alter ego. Don't be alarmed, we all have our dark secrets. To tell you one right now, we aren't meeting as detective and witness, we're meeting as vigilante and vigilante.

PETER: How did you find out?

MARC: It wasn't easy. You may say I stalked you, but that's such an ugly picture to paint. I really found out when you fought Kraven and Rhino on that rooftop, and spilled the beans to your friend.

PETER: Ok, so I'm Spider-man. What do you want to talk about?

MARC: The Sinister Six doesn't end with The Green Goblin's arrest. He's rich. He won't get much punishment. But while the head of the Hydra is sleeping, the body will be doing it's own work. Specifically, I worry about the character you call Allistair Smythe. I did some more, well, stalking, and found he has a machine in full working order. He calls it a spider-slayer. On top of Smyther, there is of course Kraven and Rhino. They seem to work exclusively together, and are the ones who have been rounding up thugs for their ruthless experiments. I say we take them down first.

PETER: Why didn't you report this to the police?

MARC: The same reason I'm sure Norman will be out and about in no time. There are moles here. We need to spill a much bigger secret than what we have on them now, because otherwise prison will be their own personal revolving door.

PETER: Ok, I'm in. when do we meet?

MARC: This address, at midnight.

Spector slides the address over to Peter, it's written on a sheet of paper.

SCENE 5

Spider-man is waiting patiently on a rooftop. It is about midnight. He lets out a yawn and sigh. Suddenly, from behind him, a voice.

MOON KNIGHT: Tired, Spider-man?

Spidey quickly turns to see Moon Knight.

SPIDER-MAN: In your dreams, uh,

MOON KNIGHT: Moon Knight. Come, there is little time to waste.

SPIDER-MAN: Wait. I need to know what your shtick is.

MOON KNIGHT: (apprehensive) My shtick? I died, Peter. Know that. The reason I'm standing in front of you today is not by pure luck. I was given a chance, a chance to take my vengeance. That is what I will do, but in the meantime, there's a city to save.

SPIDER-MAN: (apologetically) Woah, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-to-to

MOON KNIGHT: It's ok, Spider-man. Just know that I am not here to play games. I'm not like your Mary Jane, or your Flash, or your Miles.

Just then, another voice cuts in.

DAREDEVIL: What are you then?

Moon Knight and Spider-man turn to see Daredevil.

MOON KNIGHT: Daredevil. What are you doing in Manhattan?

DAREDEVIL: Sometimes, I have to take a bit of a stroll to face my problems. In any case, I think the three of us could work together, My guys names are Kraven and Rhino. They've been rounding up criminals in Hell's Kitchen, only they don't come back.

SPIDER-MAN: Can I get some credit here? I fought these guys first.

MOON KNIGHT: You only won because of that other kid.

DAREDEVIL: Regardless, we'll need your help. Moon Knight and I have worked together in the past, but apparently this issue is much more local to Manhattan. I did some investigating. The criminals go somewhere else before they're brought to Oscorp. I just don't know where.

MOON KNIGHT: I do. They've been paying some people off, and using a very tightly guarded facility. A SHIELD facility.

SPIDER-MAN: Busting into SHIELD with my two new friends? Sounds like a night to me!

SCENE 6

SHIELD facility. Spidey, Moon Knight, and Daredevil drop into a large room from a ventilation shaft, and stand back to back. Surrounding them are pods of criminals frozen in position. They all duck for cover behind various pods when they here several sets of footsteps approach. From both sides, SHIELD personnel march in. They inspect the pods, not noticing any of the heroes hiding behind them.

AGENT 1: Man, how did those guys even get permission to use this place?

AGENT 2: I hear they got the money from some corporate bigwig named Steven Grant.

AGENT 1: Must want connections with SHIELD.

AGENT 2: This feels wrong though. We're the good guys! Why are we helping wanted criminals out?

AGENT 1: I know. I wish Director Fury would get back on this place.

The agents leave the room, and Spidey and Daredevil come out of hiding. Just then, Moon Knight collapses to the ground. Spider-man and Daredevil both rush to help him, and he stands up awkwardly.

DAREDEVIL: You ok?

MOON KNIGHT: Hope so. That name, Steven Grant. I know it. I think I know how to shut is place down, but let's free these criminals first.

SPIDER-MAN: Are you up to it?

MOON KNIGHT: I've been up to it my whole life. The second one, I mean.

The heroes begin releasing the criminals by prying open the pod doors, and silently pointing to an exit in the back. All three do this for many criminals, until the last pod. Spider-man goes to open it, only to be stopped by Daredevil.

DAREDEVIL: Wait! Hold off on that one.

SPIDER-MAN: Why?

MOON KNIGHT: This guy isn't your average criminal. Even though he's just a man, he's taken dozens of lives.

The camera turns to see the man in the pod has a maniacal smile plastered on his face. This is Cletus Kasady.

MOON KNIGHT: Cletus Kasady. Goes by the street name "Carnage." Wanted serial killer. We can't let him back onto the street.

SPIDER-MAN: What do we do with him then?

Just then, shield agents come back into the room. The three heroes dive behind the empty pods. The agents seem confused, then turn to Kasady.

AGENT 1: I guess they already took them all.

AGENT 2: Why leave Kasady?

AGENT 1: Who cares? Let's bring 'im to Oscorp ourselves, he's definitely not hanging around here all night.

The agents wheel Kasady out of the room on a dolley, ;leaving the three superheroes alone.

SPIDER-MAN: Well, that's not good.

MOON KNIGHT: Yeah, and it's only going to get worse. Spider-man, I'm afraid this is where we part ways. I have to find Steven Grant and… deal with our problem.

DAREDEVIL: I have to stay in Hell's Kitchen, to make sure Kraven and Rhino don't get there hands on any more thugs.

SPIDER-MAN: So I guess I'm the one who has to deal with Carnage?

MOON KNIGHT: For now, Spider-man. Once I have erased Grant's dealings with SHIELD. I will assist in taking down the Sinister Six.

DAREDEVIL: So will I.

Daredevil and Moon Knight walk out the back exit, leaving Spidey scratching his head.

SPIDER-MAN: Times like this I am so glad I have MJ.

He pulls a phone out of a pocket hidden under his suit, and dials MJ. The phone rings and MJ picks up.

SPIDER-MAN: MJ! What's up?

MJ: Peter, are you wearing your mask? You sound kind of muffled.

SPIDER-MAN: Yeah, I'm in a SHIELD facility The Sinister Six was using to harbor criminals before they dosed them up with illegal experimental drugs. How was your day? Look, can you do me a favor and look at Cletus Kasady's police reports?

MJ: Give me a minute… ok, yeah, I got it. Wow… this is just… wow. Twelve confirmed kills? Says he bragged about a dozen more, but there wasn't enough evidence. This report says he escaped from the penitentiary just a month before you became Spider-man. This guy was looking at twelve life sentences beforehand.

SPIDER-MAN: A bit overkill, huh? By about eleven lives.

MJ: Ugh, this report comes with pictures of his victims. It's… carnage. Peter, you better be careful about this guy. Says one of his victims was his own mother.

SPIDER-MAN: Guess he wasn't much of a momma's boy. Kay MJ. I'll be careful. Also, do me a favor and look up Marc Spector and Steven Grant.

MJ: Alright, but it might take me a bit longer.

SPIDER-MAN: Thanks MJ. I lo-

MJ hangs up before Spidey can finish his sentence.

SCENE 7

Cletus Kasady is now conscious, and giggling quietly to himself. He is restrained in the Oscorp lab, where Dr. Toomes is preparing an injection of Goblin Serum. Toomes is whistling a tune as he primes a needle, and forces it into Kasady's arm.

TOOMES: Mr. Kasady, I understand you're in the same boat as the Scorpion. Left for me to have my fun with. This serum I composed is a modified version of the late Dr. Octavius' symbiote. Where he failed, I have succeeded. If this doesn't kill you, that is.

CLETUS: Wow, Doc, you're as big a nut as me!

TOOMES: Ah, maybe, but I am a genius, and you are, well, the kind of genius who found twelve different ways of dissecting a person.

CLETUS: 24. I like you, doc, you got a nice vibe to ya. "Maybe I'm a crazy psychopath, maybe I'm your next door neighbor." Wish I had that going for me.

The symbiote begins to emerge around Kasady, eventually forming around his entire body.

CLETUS: (Carnage) Wow, doc, I feel spectacular! What'd you do to me?

TOOMES: I have made you stronger, Kasady, better! This operation is a tremendous success! Much better than that Venom Dr. Octavius made!

CLETUS: (Carnage) Yeah, but I'm not stickin' around. I got places to be, people to kill, you get the drill.

TOOMES: No no no, Carnage, you aren't going anywhere.

CLETUS: (Carnage) Like you have a choice!

Carnage bursts through his restraints, and stands over Toomes. He growls, and pounces out of the building through a window, on all fours. Toomes is left stunned.

TOOMES: What have I done?
