"See ya bulky!" said Miko as she jumped out of a dark green vehicle, who happened to be a robot in disguise. She ran up the steps of Jasper High. Once inside the smile that she started with melted off and she sighed another day in hell.

Head up, shoulders squared, look every one in the eye. That was on replay in my head. I wish i could be anywhere but here. From a girl that loved the ocean, my parents moved to a desert. Come on! I was born their, raised their, I even sill had the sand burn from a fall off my board. From Florida to Jasper, Nevada the land of a dry sand no lakes to hang out by no nothing. I started in the way of my first period, Math. Mr. Burns wonder if he's nice I thought absent mindedly. Finally I tought I would never get here. I look down at myself, my jeans hiding my prostatic leg. Oh ya lost it in...an acident and let leave it like that. The only sign of it is a slight limp you have to squint to see it. Before I walk in I hear voices. "Your a dumbass, why they even let you in the country I dont even know. Your probably an illegal alien. Bitch" I stride in to see a girl with red hair standing over a Japanese looking girl. I walk over. "Excuse me why dont ya leave her alone and show yer self to ya seat? Kay? Good." I say in a darker tone. To some people I am intimidating and apparently I am to her because she shuffled off. Looking at the asian girl I put out my hand to help her up. "Hello there my namesa Annabeth." I say. "names Miko I uh... thanks?" she stuttered. " Yer welcome. Hey ya mind showin me ya schedule to see if we have any classes together?" I replied. She laughed and she and I sat next together talking while waiting for class to start.
