"Annie why did we agree to bring Eve by foot again?" Mitchell moaned, his feet were killing him after walking almost the whole length of the Eurostar line to Paris. He had complained at the very start that this would have been a bad idea, but as usual, nobody listened to him.

"Because, Mitchell," Annie sighed, rolling her eyes. "George and Nina needed some alone time, you know… without her. Besides, baby number two will be born soon and then they'll have very little time to themselves." Annie was trying to make up an excuse that Mitchell would believe, as she really had no idea why they were travelling by foot when Mitchell could have paid for tickets for himself and Eve. Annie didn't even need paid for, nobody could see her anyway.

Great, Mitchell thought. If Eve started crying and wanted food, there would be nothing around for a good few miles. "Annie, I don't think we really thought this through. What if she gets hungry?" He exclaimed, motioning to the vast empty fields around them and then to the small child in Annie's arm.

Annie punched him playfully with her free arm, being sure to not startle Eve, who was asleep in her other one. "Well then I'll rent-a-ghost to Paris, find George and Nina and feed her. Simple." She smiled, a teasing look in her eye. She knew how much Mitchell hated being left alone, especially when he didn't know where he was going.

"And what, leave me alone here to walk to fucking Paris? Unbelievable!" He groaned, slumping his shoulders and dragging his feet along the ground slowly.

"Mitchell, you're starting to sound like a child yourself. Now shut up and keep walking!" Annie commanded, kicking his heels so he would move at a faster pace.

"But there's no point walking faster if you're just going to abandon me and make me late to the engagement party, is there? Besides, my feet really, really hurt. And I'm tired." He pouted, now looking even more like a child than Eve did.

Annie decided to rent-a-ghost away for a little while to see how Mitchell would react. She passed Eve to him and quickly poofed away to behind a nearby bush at the side of the railway line.

"Annie?" Mitchell whispered, as to not wake the sleeping child. "Annie?" He whispered, a little louder. Eve was startled at hearing Mitchell's voice so woke up and stared at him. Her lip started to quiver. "Oh, for God's sake," Mitchell muttered. "Shhh, little Evie. Shhh." He swayed his hips a little to try and comfort the baby until he heard Annie's giggle coming from behind the nearby bushes. He ran over to where he thought he'd heard the laughter and saw the ghost. "Annie, I swear to God…" He began, before quickly handing the teary baby back to her.

"Your face, Mitchell!" Annie beamed, comforting the child and getting her straight back to sleep in an instant. "Shall we set off again, then?" She asked, beginning to walk towards the general direction of their intended destination.

"Wait on me!" Mitchell laughed, following her footsteps. "Hey, we should go to that bridge thing in Paris. Y'know the one with all the locks on it? And we could take George and Nina there too! It'd be perfect!"

"You're rambling again!" Annie scolded, sending a fake glare of disgust his way before breaking out in a smile again. "But that sounds nice, yeah. I think we could do that." She agreed, continuing to walk at a steady pace towards the horizon that would eventually lead to Paris.
