Hansha-otoku
First piece: The unexpected prelude
"So, Sakura-chan, are you ready for our videoke challenge?" Naomi, one of Sakura's classroom buddies, asked her. The girl that was asked only looked up with her jade orbs while nodding, saying that she agrees.
"How could I refuse you, Nao-chan. I have to defeat your high score," Sakura said jokingly to her friends, which had caused them to burst out laughing while going outside the school campus. After all, it is already dismissal time.
They went to the Love Love Karaoke club, just a few blocks away on Konoha Elite High Academy. They're supposedly to go on another karaoke place, but Riku, another classroom buddy of Sakura, demanded. Because Riku told them that she has something important message to deliver.
"I had a strange dream last night," Riku told them, while placing her right hans on the table. They are already inside a room cubicle in the karaoke bars. (A/N: Please bear with me, imagine a karaoke soundproof room in a karaoke bar. Try it!)
"Here she goes again with strange dreams," Naomi muttered while sighing. She has no interest with that. "Shut up, Nao-chan! This is not ridiculous!" Riku interjected, "as what I'm trying to say, I had a strange dream. It's about some kind of… romance."
"Go on," Sakura said while picking up a glass of orange juice and started to drink its content. "It was a beautiful and heart-warming kind of romance. And it deals with music, specifically, the violin. Just like the violin romance that happened Takatsu Nana and Nobara Akira last decade." Riku said while placing her index finger under her chin.
As soon as Sakura heard the word 'violin', she got choked. Riku remembered that Sakura knows how to play the violin, so does Naomi. "Sakura-chan, do you think this violin romance will happen to you or it will occur at our present time?" Riku asked the said girl.
"Are you kidding me? There's no way that so-called violin romance will ever happen to me." Sakura said, while waving her right hand in front of her. "I doubt it," Riku protested, "after all you're so good in the violin. Even though, you're in the general education curriculum like us."
"Why did you end up having the same education curriculum as we have, even though you're so good in playing the violin?" Naomi asked due to her curiosity. Sakura just sighed, "well, it's just that I don't want to be an outcast whenever there are students who are a lot better than me."
"Sakura-chan you're so wrong," Riku said, "just believe in yourself and you'll be the greatest." Sakura thought, 'just believe in myself, eh?'
"Enough of that," Naomi interjected, "it's show time!" She stood up and grabbed the microphone and began to sing the lyrics indicated on the television screen.
"I'm home!" Sakura shouted as she arrived home, going to the living room, she saw her mother. "Welcome home Sakura, please do sit down. Her mom said.
Sakura did of what she had been told. "Guess what," her mom started, "you have a new violin."
"But mom," Sakura started to protest, "I already have a violin of my own. Why bother to buy a new one?" Her mom just smiled, "your violin is already old, dear. Try this one out." She pushed the violin which is on top of the center table to Sakura.
"I understand." Sakura said as she picked up the violin case and went to her room. 'It is a blessing from the music fairy. Please do use the violin to make everyone enjoy and love music, Sakura.' Her mom thought as she watched her daughter go to her room.
As Sakura went inside her room, she can't help but think about her new violin. She placed the violin case on her study table, "maybe I should try to play this one out." She said bluntly. Opening the red violin case, she saw a good-looking violin and a fine bow. She picked it up and placed it on her shoulders and her chin on it. Placing the bow on the first string, she let it run through it. "It seems like this violin has magic." She said.
"It has magic!", a voice suddenly burst out.
"W-who said that?!" Sakura stuttered. Everybody will be spooked out if they're said something and someone replied mysteriously, right? But, she received nothing as a reply. She just ignored the silence and put the violin back to its case and rested. She has still classes tomorrow. Unknown to her that someone is watching her even to her peaceful slumber.
"Ohayo Sakura-chan!" Naomi and Riku greeted the approaching pink-haired teen to them. They stood up to greet their friend. Sakura greeted them also but she was wearing a worried face. "Are you alright, Sakura-chan?" Naomi asked her. "Yeah, I'm fine", she replied.
They went to their room to start their class with a new lesson to learn. Sitting on the chair on the fifth row near the window, Sakura has been thinking about a very mysterious voice when she played her new violin last night. Sighing, she had put her head down on the desk.
Not until when she heard the vibrations of the speakers when the announcer has informed the upcoming Music Concours on their academy as celebration on its foundation day. Everyone from the general curriculum was dismayed, while those students from the music curriculum were eager to have themselves performing on the said event. Those on the music curriculum have higher chances to be picked to perform o the music concours than those general curriculum students. The announcer has begun to narrate the participating contestants.
"First, Hyuuga Neji-kun from 3-A of Music Curriculum," the announcer said.
The said name was already on his senior year, his pale blue suit and green necktie, which was the assigned uniform for Music Curriculum students at senior year for boys; only added elegance to his features: a lean, tall frame sitting on the desk quietly, a handsome face that attracts the female population at his level, and his pale skin that comprises the smoothness of his skin. When he heard his name, he just smirked. 'I hope this will be interesting.'
"Nara Shikamaru-kun from 2-A of Music Curriculum," the announcer said.
The said guy with a black pineapple-like hair was dazing to the clouds. His pale blue suit lying messily beside, for he was wearing a white button-up shirt. "I'm joining the concours, eh?" He muttered to himself. "How troublesome".
"Hyuuga Hinata-chan from 2-B of Music Curriculum," the announcer said.
The shy girl with long ebony hair, white eyes and strikingly flawless white skin was shocked. Her classmates had their eyes bulging out to her. She blushed in embarrassment and started to play with her red bowtie on her light blue blouse.
"Uzumaki Naruto-kun from 2-B of Music Curriculum," the announcer said.
A blonde boy gleamed with his clear cerulean eyes and rushed to Hinata to hold her hands and jumped for joy. "We made it Hinata! We made it!" He exclaimed not noticing the said girl was about to faint.
"Lastly, Haruno Sakura-chan from 2-A of General Curriculum," the announcer said.
Sakura, along with her other classmates, were absolutely shocked. Who would thought that a student in the general curriculum to be a part of the Music Concours of the academy. Riku, recovered from her shock, told the pink-haired girl, "this story will unfold the pages to make way to your own violin romance," she said with dreamy eyes.
"Learning music by reading about it is like making love by mail."

A/N: I just had a teensy-weensy changes around here. You might not notice it that much, but if you're a keen observer, you might notice it. Want to take a guess? Anyway, I am going to rewrite this anyway when I finally attain my freedom. I've been busy with my college admission examinations lately.
