She couldn't remember when it started, but she knew it started somewhere after their first mission. They had just returned from England. In winter. And it was cold. Maka had left to take a shower but when she returned, Soul had passed out on the couch. He took up all the space and she could only sit near his stomach. She grabbed a book she had been reading and sat down. Soul was half asleep when she did so you can't blame him for what he thought.

'Did Maka bring me a heat packet? Cool, but it's not close enough for me to feel it completely.' He reached out his arm and wrapped it around Maka's waist. She only had a split second to realize what was going on before Soul pulled her down and hugged her against him.

"S-Soul?!" She felt his grip tighten when she squirmed.

"Warm..." Was the only response he gave her. She placed one of her hands on his but immediately retracted it.

'Oh my god he's freezing!' One of his legs draped over hers and he pulled her towards him again.

'He's trying to get me as close to him as possible!' Her face turned bright scarlet as his hands moved up to her stomach.

'It'll be fine Maka, just wake him up and he'll let go.' That's what she told herself to do. She tried to get her arms to move or get her throat to make a noise but she couldn't. She realized that his chest was firm against her back, and that the way his arms wrap around her waist felt so comfortable. It wasn't long before her eyes started to feel heavy and her will to get away faded.

After that night Soul always made an excuse to hug her or make some kind of contact with her. Other times he would just flat out say he wanted her near him. Like now. She just wanted to eat some pretzels and read a book comfortably on the couch. But Soul was distracting her.

"C'mon Maka. Please?"

"No Soul! I'm trying to read!"

"You do that everyday. Give it a rest."

"No way."

"C'mon Maka I'm cold and you're warm."

"It's not my fault I have better circulation." Soul glared.

'Fuck it, I'm cold and she's being cruel.' Soul tought. He grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his hug. She gave a squeal as he fell back onto the couch with her.

"Soul! Let me go!" She yelled and hit his arms. He only tightened his grip.

"No way. You're warm." She blushed again. "Plus you were near."

"So if Blair were closer to you you'd hug her?" Soul shook his head into her shoulder blades.

"She's not as warm."

"What if I got you a heat pad instead?" Again he shook his head.

"It wouldn't cover my whole body like you do."

"Soul! Just let me go!" She continued to batter his hands.

"Hey! If you keep hitting me I will lay on you!" She glared back at him. At least she stopped hitting him. As he nearly fell asleep one of his hands went up her shirt and touched the soft skin of her stomach. His face tinted red but Maka went full on cherry color.

"You just got warmer" he mumbled. He ran his other hand over flat stomach as well, just as he predicted Maka got a few degrees warmer. He sighed contently.

"Aaaaaah. That's better."

"S-S-S-Soul! You better let me go right now!"

"Or else?" Maka looked to were her book was and saw it wasn't there. She had flung it across the room when he pulled her.

"Dammit! Soul let me go! I have to find my place in my book before the pages crease!"

"You have your priorities straight don't you?" Soul rolled his eyes. She elbowed his ribs. "Damn! Maka just relax would you?"

"I was until you decided to use me like I'm your personal heat pad!"

"Ok then, how about this?" He tightened his grip on her so she would pay attention. "I'll let you go," he held on more when she fidgeted, "buuut as soon as you get your book you come right back so I can have some warmth." Maka contemplated his deal.

"The longer time you take the more permanent the creases become~." He teased. Maka's eyes shot open.

"Alright fine! But we have to get in a more comfortable position!" Soul smirked.

"Maka-Chaaaan~!" Blair called as she stepped through the door. She got no response. She rose a brow and stepped into the living room. She gasped quietly and covered her mouth before a squeal could get out. But she did dance in place.

Maka laid with her back against the couch and her head on the armrest. Her book was closed and on her lap. Soul had his head against Maka's chest and snoring softly. His arms were wrapped tightly around her waist and pulling her to him. The sunlight that poured into the room glowed softly against their faces but didn't wake them up. Blair quickly ran to Maka's then Soul's room, grabbing their phones. She took photos of them in a second on each phone then set it as their wallpapers and lock screens. She smiled happily and placed a blanket over them.

'Now how much would Black*Star-Kun pay to see these photos..?' Her happy smile turned into a Chesire grin.

Fluff! All the SoMa fluff! I think this was an adorable prompt from Tumblr. After a few revisions this is what I came up with! School is seriously making me antsy. With essays and tests and homework. Not like I do it anyway. Anyhow, I hope you all enjoyed and until next time, WolfGal out!

Question for you:

Should I try my hand in more fluffy stuff like this?
