The Wanderer
An action adventure story based off of an alternate universe of fallout 3
The lone wanderer took cover behind old highwayman, gasping for breath, "Come out, come out wherever you are!" his pursuer shouted, firing his 9mm for effect," Well great, I'm trapped in an old garage with a crazy guy with a gun and a car that's useless without energy cells!" The wanderer thought to himself, hitting the car in frustration, causing the boot to fly open, hitting the crazy guy in the chin, and sending him flying into a pile of pre-war tires, which then bounced at the car, moving it forwards, off of the hydraulic ramp and into the rusty old steel door, causing the power cell from the motor to come loose and fall to the ground.
After opening the bonnet and sliding the power cell into the socket, The Wanderer shut the bonnet lid and climbed into the car, "I hope this works." He says, twisting the key in the ignition, and shifting the old rusty gear stick into the first gear, the car's engine shudders to life, "Yes!" The Wanderer exclaims, leaning out of the window to open the garage door, only to realize that the motor for it was broken. The Wanderer slammed the accelerator down, slamming the car into the old garage door, making a large dent in the corroded steel, "come on…" He thinks to himself, slamming the car into the door again, after three more times of the same thing happening, the door finally gives way, and gets thrown across the alleyway, embedding itself in the wall opposite.
The highwayman skidded out of the now empty door frame, and into the alleyway, after the little… incident, earlier, the marketplace was in chaos, with bullet holes in the walls, and people running about, screaming and shouting, it was hard to manoeuvre at all on foot, nevermind in a car, it was nearly impossible to get out of the city, but The Wanderer managed it, "Time to go to the white house" he says, speeding away from the city.
