Authors note: Hey there people! This is my first fanfic, so please bear with me. I noticed that there were literally three fanfics with Run in them on this entire freaking website when I used filters and searched nothing but 'Run' (or Ran, as this website likes to call him.). And I also noticed how no one seems to do Run x Wave. Which is one of my favorite pairings. And I've wanted an account on here forever, but only recently got one, so now I'm able to write wonderful fan fiction! I'm happy! Now, enough of my incoherent rambling, and lets get on with the story! I will try to update as soon as I can!

Normal POV

Wave walked in to the sitting area of Jeagars. All he wished for was to be happy. But no. It wouldn't come. Not a trace of warmth. Then he found Run sleeping at the table, and instantly, it seemed a warm fire had started in his heart.

Wave sat down next to Run, careful not to wake him. The blonde shuffled in his sleep, murmuring incoherently. Wave watched the sleeping man for awhile, happy he could see his teammate so peaceful.

After a while Run's eyes fluttered, blinking awake. "Good morning, Wave." He said groggily. Wave laughed. The afternoon light streaming in through the windows set his blonde hair on fire, truly an amazing sight to behold. 'Truly an angel,' thought Wave. He shook his head at the thought. 'What am I thinking!' Wave sat there, his heart beating faster every second he sat next to Run, the angel, the protector of innocence, naivety, and love. Wave moaned, slumped against the table, arm outstretched to their farthest length, fingers splayed. Run looked at him, concerned. His usually gold locks looked like liquid fire, ever shifting from the slight breeze, blowing from a slightly open window. Wave blushed slightly, and turned his head. It was an unasked question, 'Are you okay?'. "I'm fine."

Run's POV
"The sunset is beautiful tonight." Wave broke the tension-filled silence with that one sweet comment. Melting my heart instantly. My jaw tightened, my soft heart throbbing. 'Just too hot for your own good, eh, Wave?' My hands twitched as I thought that.
We sat for a while in companionable silence, me lost in daydreams, Wave polishing his teigu, Grand Chariot. As I coughed from the harsh scent of polish, Wave patted my back. I turned away at the gentle touch. "T-thanks." I muttered lamely.
