Standard Disclaimer Applies
So, I made this one-shot when I was bored at school and couldn't think of what to write for my current story that is untitled. I really need to get better at titles…. Anyway, here's a side story in the SD,SM/OS,OD universe.
I scowled as Naruto ate a chocolate chip cookie in front of me. He knows I can't eat any right now! I gasped as another contraction hit.
"Are you ok baby?"
I glared darkly at his muffled voice full of cookie. Chocolate chip cookie.
"No. I'm in pain, hungry, and watching you eat a fucking cookie. Does that sound alright to you?"
Naruto quickly swallowed the rest of the cookie. Chocolate fucking chip cookie. It's like he's mocking me with my favorite cookie.
"I'm sorry."
I frowned not saying anything. There was a knock on the door before Ino appeared next to Sasuke .
"Hey."
I gave a short hello which had Ino give an accusing glare to Naruto.
"What'd you do!"
Naruto rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.
"I ate a cookie."
I couldn't help but point out a very important fact.
"A chocolate chip cookie."
Sasuke sighed shaking his head as Ino started scolding him. I gasped again as another contraction hit. Naruto was immediately at my side.
"I'm ok."
Ino came to the other side. Hinata's in the next room. She's in labor too. Kiba is with her. Shikamaru and Ayame are on their way. Itachi is watching the kids."
I smiled at the thought of Itachi being tackled by Emiko and Satoshi.
"Where's my Aunt?"
"She'll be here soon."
A few hours later I could hear Hinata screaming. I groaned not wanting to go through that. I should have gotten the stupid epidural when I had the chance. I glared as Naruto went for another cookie. He pulled his hand away from the bag slowly. My aunt appeared in her uniform checking over the moniter attached to me.
"Looks like you're almost ready."
I saw Naruto pale. Two hours later I was screaming.
"I need you to push."
I squeezed Naruto's hand as I pushed. Jesus it hurt. It felt like forever before I heard the cry of my baby girl. I slumped against the bed exhausted. After a few minutes the nurse placed her in my arms.
"She's beautiful."
Two days later I was released from the hospital. Katsumi slept soundly in my arms. A pit of blond hair stuck out from under the little pink hat she was wearing.
"Welcome to the world Katsumi."
She yawned a little before gurgling. I smiled. Everything was perfect now.
