A/N: This is not one of my usual ships, and you can probably tell by how non-"shippy" I made it, but someone requested it, so I wrote it. Here is a very short Parvati/Neville blurb.

-Ashley

Parvati slipped a rubber band around the end of her plait and threw it back over her shoulder. Being in-hiding from the Death Eaters of Hogwarts right under their own noses was oddly unexciting. In fact, most of the time it was downright boring.

You would expect such an event to be full of adventure and mischief, but really everyone just sat around, trying to keep quiet in the echoing room. There were, of course, the occasional arguments- usually about which of the boys hadn't showered recently and was stinking up the whole area, or over who would be the one to sneak down the kitchens or into Hogsmeade for food that day- but life in the Room of Requirement was dull indeed.

Lavender sat down next to her with a sigh, shooting tiny pink butterflies out the end of her wand and charming them all to fly in a circle around an unamused Seamus' head.

The portrait hole at the back of the room suddenly swung open and Neville Longbottom and Michael Corner stumbled through, their arms laden with bread and cheese from The Hog's Head.

Parvati got to her feet and ran to assist them. "How is he?" she asked Neville, taking half of the food from his arms and walking alongside him to lay it on the table in the center of the room.

"No change," said Neville, handing Terry Boot half a loaf of bread across the table. "He's just trying to lie as low as possible. The stupid charms on the village are making that ruddy difficult, though."

Parvati laid a hand on Neville's arm. "You need to rest," she said softly, but seriously. "I know you've stepped up in Harry's absence, but you need to sleep, too."

Neville nodded, grabbing a hunk of cheese and making his usual rounds to everyone, checking to be sure there was no discomfort among them. Parvati followed.

"I'm serious, Nev," she hissed. "I know you mis them… you miss all of them… Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna… we all do! But you've got to take care of yourself!"

Neville froze at Luna's name, the absence of the girl who had come to be his best friend hitting him the hardest of all. Yes, he did miss them all.

He nodded at Parvati again, this time making his way to his hammock closest to the door, sitting down and taking a deep breath.

"You're doing brilliantly, Neville," she whispered, sitting down next to his hammock and grabbing his hand in a comforting way. "Your parents would be so proud."

Neville had recently confided in Parvati the truth about his family. He nodded again, this time with a soft smile as he lay back and put up his feet. "Thank you, Pav," he sighed, sinking into his pillow and closing his eyes.

Parvati continued to hold his hand and reached up with her other to stroke his hair, humming softly. As he drifted off to sleep she whispered, "You're my hero, Neville Longbottom."
