It was quiet in that night in Haggard; a Bentley drove down the rain coated road. Skulduggery and Valykrie sat in silence though their minds wondered through an abyss of emotion. Trapped in their own thoughts for fear of denial...
VALYKRIE'S POV;
It was so cold tonight; i stared at skul with aching pain in my heart. I meet skulduggery when i was 12, I'm now 21 and i love him. I've always wanted to tell him but I'm afraid he'll say he doesn't love me back, or worse he'll say nothing at all. We shortly arrived at Gordon's house (well it's mine but i still refer it to as his). It felt good to be home. We just got off an important case about some missing cleavers, turns out they accidently got run over! Sometimes it's like the sanctuary just puts us on these stupid cases on purpose.
"Val, hello... anyone home?" Skulduggery asked waving a hand in my face. I realised i had been daydreaming...again. "Is there something you want to talk about?" he said. Yes "no, I'm fine." I lied. I got out the car and stared at the big empty house. Skulduggery was getting back into his car when i grabbed his shoulder. "Err... Skul, do you have to leave?" i looked to ground feeling un-easy, "i mean can you stay tonight, please?" he looked me oddly and kinda tilted his head, a smile, "sure, but only if you tell me what's wrong okay?" he replied. I nodded and he took hold of my hand. A friendly jester probably but it still made my heart skip a beat. I have to tell him, tonight.
SKULDUGGERY POV;
We stepped though the door and put our coats on the rack. Then we sat down in the front room awkward as ever. "So," i said breaking the silence "what's the matter? And don't say nothing, i can tell something's been up the last few days." Valykrie just stared at the floor then gradually came over and sat next to me. "Okay, this is difficult to say so I'm just going to say it; i...i love you." She mumbled. I nearly stopped breathing, well i have no lungs but yeah you get the idea. "Val, I've been waiting for you to say that for a long time. I love you too." I answered, her head shot up and she hugged me, i wanted to kiss her but i have no lips so i just hugged her back and we stayed like that for ages. I finally had to break away because she was squeezing me to death. I took what felt like my first breath in years. She finally knew and she loved me back.
Okay, yeah it sucked. But it was a first try so plz tell me if u liked it ^_^!
