I Wish, I Hope, I Dream

I wish I could've held your hand for longer,

I wish I could've been there to see you through.

I wish I could've helped to make you stronger,

I wish I could've helped your dreams come true.

I hope that you'll be happy, even without me,

I hope you understand the things I didn't have time to say,

I hope you'll realize you're the thing most precious to me,

I hope you'll stay safe while I'm away.

I dream we could've known each other forever,

I dream you'll be okay all alone,

I dream of a time when we'll be together,

I dream of all the things that you should know.

I wish you could come to me with you're fears,

I hope you know I'd tried to stay with you,

I dream that I could make your problems disappear,

I wish you'll always know that I love you.
