The Matrix Unleashed

It was a typical day in Zion. Morpheus was working on the new version of the Nebucadnezzar, the Nebucadnezzar mach 2. It was meant to be faster than the original and have more firepower. Link and Morpheus were still upset about the loss of Neo and Trinity but they had moved on. However, what happened next would surprise even the machines.

"Mo.. ph.. us.." A message came through to the half-build Nebucadnezzar. "Help… Me…"

"Who is this?" Morpheus recognized the voice but couldn't place it with a name.

"N.. Neo..." The voice said in reply to his question.

"That's impossible. Neo was killed in the final battle against Agent Smith." Morpheus said this, even though some part of him believed that it was Neo. "Prove to me that you are Neo and maybe I'll believe you."

"I… Know… Kung-Fu…" The voice said faintly.

"Neo? It really is you. But, how?" Morpheus was feeling 10 times better than he had been feeling since he thought Neo died.

"No… Time… I'm… Trapped… In… The… Mainframe…" Neo seemed to be fading.

"I'll send a team in to get you." Morpheus was determined to save Neo as he had saved him.

And so, the race to save Neo began. Many hovercrafts started to surface, ready to help in the search for Neo. But before they even got ready to jack in, Morpheus was already in searching for him.

"Neo? Are you here?" Morpheus yelled as he searched for Neo.

"Mr. Anderson isn't here. But I am." It was Smith, now even more deadly than before.

"But, how? Neo destroyed you." Morpheus was shocked at the appearance of this old enemy.

"I… Know… Kung-Fu…" Smith emulated the same voice that Morpheus heard.

"It can't be. You are Neo! How could this have happened?" Morpheus knew that this meant the Matrix was in grave danger.

"That little virus the machines uploaded into Mr. Andersons body had an unexpected side affect. While it did destroy all my clones, it didn't truly destroy my clone on Neo. It made me a virus. Now not only am I Smith, but I am also Mr. Anderson." Smith laughed evily at this remark.

"I will kill you. Neo was a good person and he shall be avenged." Morpheus said this as if nothing was wrong at all.

"You? Defeat me? I am truly invinc… Huh. NO!" Smith screamed as it appeared he was being taken over by an agent. What stood in his place, however, was the exact opposite.

"Neo? Is it really you?" Morpheus was shocked at seeing Neo right in front of his eyes.

"Yes, it is. I don't have long. Smith will take control again soon. The machines have a special virus ready for this situation. I need you to get ti so I can kill Smith once and for all. Can you please do this for me?"

"Yes, Neo. Smith must be stopped at all costs. I shall go and retreve this virus. Just promise me you'll stop him from killing innocent people."

"I promise, Morpheus, Now go, before he regains control." Neo was starting to lose control of the body.

Morpheus nodded his head before he went off in search of the potion. Just then, Smith regained control of the body.

"Where did Morpheus go? Neo, I will kill him if he gets in my way." Smith was ready to kill Morpheus. He had waited for that day to come. Will he? Let's hope not…
