AN: Wrote this in, like, 5 minutes, so yeah. Just a short one-shot to remind myself of how much I love this pairing. 232 words
"She's an alcoholic, and just look at what that bitch is wearing!" Gin followed his friend's gaze, and nearly — just nearly — frowned. Of course, Luppi was complaining about her. His oldest friend, and the woman who was so in love with him that even when he left her behind, she never stopped waiting. "Such a whore."
Instead of agreeing, the silver-haired male smiled. His mask did wonders now, when she was out drinking and partying with her friends. She always did make friends easily, it was just her personality to. Even now, she had several people, men and woman, hanging on her every word as she spoke. He didn't even know if she saw him, but that would be for the better.
Despite everything, he never wanted her to hurt. Even if that was what he did to her every time he left.
Icy blue eyes rose from the crowd, and he knew she knew he was there. Part of him wanted to reach out to her, to hold her as he had done in the past, but then she frowned. The glare she shot him said everything. After all, he always was able to read her face like a book.
Right now, he couldn't touch her, no one could.
"What was that about Gin?" Luppi asked, cocking an eyebrow at the taller man. "Oh, nothing. Just an old friend."
Gin smiled.
