Ciel signs and works on business papers as Sebastian, his butler, walks into the young master's study with a tray of tea in hand. Ciel looks up from his papers curiously as the demon butler came over to his desk with the tea. "Sebastian?" "Yes, young lord?" "Tell me... Can demons feel emotions like love?" Ciel curiously asked.
Sebastian looked at ciel with a little surprise. "What makes you ask?" He questioned the boy. "Just curious." Ciel shrugged and Sebastian smirked "master, you do know curiousity kills the cat." He teased "just answer my question, will you?" Ciel pushed the matter, impatiently and Sebastian set down a tea cup and poured tea into it.
"Well then, yes. Demons can feel love." Ciel looked at Sebastian's face for any emotion but was disappointed. "Example?" He pushed once more. Sebastian thought "example, Hannah for alois." He said in matter of fact tone, disappointing the boy again. "Any other examples you can think of, Sebastian?" Ciel asked slighty upset and very impatient as Sebastian answered "Well..." He beated around the bush. "I do have a fond for cats." He slightly teased the boy who was dissapointed once more.
Ciel quickly grew more impatient and chuckled sickly "cats, eh? Sebastian don't fool with me." Sebastian smiled "I don't know what your talking about, my lord." Ciel scoffed "alright then I'll ask another question." Sebastian raised an eyebrow in curiosity "oh?" Ciel sighed "Sebastian, promise you won't lie to me." Sebastian now got more curious and obeyed "I promise~" ciel looked back at his desk, not wanting to look at Sebastian when he asked "Sebastian, what are your feelings for me?" Sebastian took a minute of surprised silence but then thought with his hand to his chin.
"Well, I'm protective and possessive for you and whenever someone tries to even touch you I feel the urge to slap their filthy hand away. Whenever I see lady Elizabeth hug you and love on you so easily I get a burning sensation of what humans call jealously as I would wish I could hug you closely like she has so many times. Whenever I see you cry I feel a pain in my chest and I get an urge to hold you comfortingly and tell its alright because I'd be there. Whenever you push me away and insult me it hurts my heart but everyday I seem to look past that. You always say that I fake my smile around you but quite honestly I don't. I smile in hope that maybe you'll learn to smile once more... Shall I go on?..." By now he had already looked away not wanting his master to see the overwhelming emotions in his eyes.
Ciel looked up at the butler ,whom was looking away, in shock but thought he was just teasing him again "Sebastian don't you fool with me, what are your real feelings for me." He looked up at Sebastian expecting him to say that he was his butler and nothing more but instead the butler looked at him with a hurt expression.
Sebastian looked at his master with a frown and hurt eyes and felt his eyelids become wet. He reached up to his eyelids and felt the liquid gathering around his eyes and muttered "me? Crying?..." He smiled lightly and looked at ciel in the eyes,well eye. "Young master. I promised that I wouldn't lie, didnt I?" Ciel then shot his head down, staring at his lap, probably trying to hide a blush now.
Ciel looked at his feet, finding his shoes interesting all of a sudden, while also hiding a very heavy blush. He stared intently at his shoes. How did Sebastian tie those shoelaces? They look so difficult. The loops sorta look like rabbit ears. He was interrupted from his thoughts by the demon butler that stood beside him."young lord do you have anything to say?" Ciel detected hurt in Sebastian voice when he asked and didn't dare look up at the butlers face dreading the horridly hurt face the demon could be bearing. "S-Sebastian...-" "yes?~"the demon responded, odviously anxious. ciel rolled his eyes "let me finish will you?" He kept his gaze down. "S-Sebastian...I suppose... I-I've grown to fond of you as well..." He said it simply, as it didnt feel right to him to go in full detail or straight out say i love you just yet. But It was true, I mean how could he not? Sebastian was practically flawless if only he wasn't a spawn of the devil. Sebastian smiled
"Young lord- no... My love~, then could you look up at me and show me your cute blush?~" he teased lightly and cupped ciel's face, tilting it up to look at him. The earl flinched some and tried to look back down. "S-Sebastian..." He complained and the demon smirked "yes?~" the boy was flustered and attempted to break from the embarrassing moment they were having. "C-could I get back to my work?" Sebastian smirked and picked up ciel gently, moving him out of his seat and then sitting himself in ciel's chair and placing ciel in his lap. He purred into ciel's ear "can't the papers wait?~" ciel blushed "Sebastian..." He tried to object but relized the demon wouldn't let him and gave up. Sebastian chuckled and wrapped his arms around ciel as if to say 'mine.'
Ciel sighed and sat back against Sebastian some, which made the demon happy at least but ciel still felt awkward. He looked up at the butler as if to ask something but didn't. Sebastian had noticed the look and raised an eyebrow questionably. "Is something wrong?" Ciel shook his head and looked back down some to face the front of the room instead of up at Sebastian "no..." Sebastian smiled and kissed the top of ciel's head, hugging him closer in his lap "good~" he nestled into ciel's shoulder lovingly.
After a while ciel had fallen asleep in the butlers hold and Sebastian didnt notice until after about 20 minutes, maybe? He picked up ciel bridal/cradle style and carried him towards his room. As Sebastian carried ciel, the earl had subconsciously cuddled up against Sebastian's chest and held an iron grip on his tailcoat.
When Sebastian went to put Ciel in his bed, Ciel wouldn't let go and instead tried pulling Sebastian back to him when the demon tried to step away. Sebastian sighed with a smirk and slipped in beside Ciel, whom gladly cuddled against him as he slept. Sebastian smirked at ciel 'he's so much different when he sleeps... So much cuter, kinder, and hehehe...apparently cuddlier." He smirked and petted ciel's head as the demon started falling asleep beside ciel.
In the morning ciel woke up to two long arms wrapped around him tightly and a his head burried in someone's chest. After waking up a little more, enough to recognize his butler, he blushed brightly and tried to wiggle out of Sebastian's Strong hold. This action though only woke up Sebastian, to which the butler smirked. "Good morning~" To which Ciel scoffed "don't be cocky, now let me go." Sebastian took the chance to tease ciel. "Not unless you say the magic word~" ciel muttered something along the lines of 'damned demon' and then huffed "please?" Sebastian smirked and shook his head "well then what do you want me to say?" Sebastian smiled and whispered in ciel's ear "I love you~" he watched ciel blush "fine, I love you, now let me go!" Sebastian smiled "I love you too." He then let ciel out of his hold slowly.
Later that day, ciel had gotten curious of how Sebastian ended up in bed with him so he called for his butler. "Sebastian!" Within seconds, Sebastian had stepped in the door "yes, my lord?" Ciel rested his chin on his fist "this morning... How did you end up in my bed with me?" He blushed lightly, asking the question. Sebastian smirked "well, you wouldn't let go of my shirt so I had to, not that I had obliged" the last part made ciel roll his eyes. "Sebastian..." He blushed lightly at was he was about to say. "I-I love you, you damned demon. And you better know that." Sebastian smiled "I'm glad you can assure me so, I love you too. Until the end~"
