AFTER BLOOD ON THE SUN
Based on the CSI: NY book: Blood on the sun.
What happened if the book took place after Aiden was dead and Lindsay was there. Could she help Danny with the tremor?
Danny had gone straight home after the meeting with the psychologist. When he returned, he saw Lindsay right away in the kitchen. He immediately went to the computer. He turned around to see where she was. He didn't want her to know about his tremor. He told Mac not to tell her, because he didn't want her worrying about him.
Danny went to bed without eating his dinner. Lindsay had gone home three hours ago. She knew something was wrong. She tried asking him, but he kept it inside. During the night, Lindsay kept waking up. She couldn't get Danny off of her mind and not in a good way. She got out of her bed, got dressed and headed back to Danny's apartment. She knocked on the door and no one answered. She tried the door knob, it wasn't lock. Quickly her heart started racing. She thought someone broke in. She quickly looked around. No Danny. She went to the bedroom. There he was, tossing and turning. She quietly shut the door and went to sleep on the couch.
The next morning, Lindsay was awoken to someone in the kitchen. She sat up in the chair and saw Danny.
"Glad to see you awake, Montana."
Lindsay got up and laughed. She went into the kitchen and put her hand on Danny's, the one with the tremor. He didn't turn to her. She gave him a reassuring smile, he just turned away.
"Danny, please look at me."
Danny just ignored her.
"Why won't you talk to me? Is it something I said? Did?"
He whipped his head around. He stared her right in the eye.
"Of course not. It's..."
Danny began to tell her the hold story. When he was done, he held up his right hand. The tremor was getting better, but Lindsay could still see it shaking. Lindsay took his hand into her own. He didn't say anything. She used his hand to pull him close to her, and was in his arms in seconds. He wrapped his arms around her.
"You're going to be okay."
