Disclaimer: Okay, let's list the things I do own, a hair straightener, a bed, Harry Po- SH*T, just remembered, my lawyer said I don't own Harry Potter, damn.
I finished writing my letter then put it into an envelope. I was in my room, listening to evanescence, my immortal. For some reason, I felt that this particular song felt right for this moment. I quickly scribbled "Mum and Dad" on the front of the envelope in my messy scrawl.
I went to my wardrobe and pulled out my white dress. I got undressed then pulled on my dress as fast as I could. I had to get this over with. I had jitters in my stomach, and I felt like I was going to be sick. I knew there was time to back out, but I just didn't want to. I wasted all this time for it to be as perfect as it could be, and I didn't want to waste it.
My phone started ringing just as I was making my bed. I slowly walked over to my mobile and answered it. It was Ginny.
"Hey" I greeted my best friend in the world. But I knew she wouldn't be for long.
"You're nearly ready, aren't you?" She asked, though she probably already knew the answer.
"Yeah, I just have to straighten up my room. I'm so not leaving it all like this." I said, grimacing as I looked around my personal pigsty. "At least my parents should be happy I'm actually going to clean my room, even if I won't be around for them to congratulate me." I sighed.
"I'll miss you. I know I can't change your mind. God knows how many times I tried. I just want you to know, if I don't go through with this, I will never make you leave my site. I love you Hermione. I'll never forget you." She sounded very tearful at the last part.
"Thanks sis" It took me a while to realise she had hung up. We would always call each other "sis". We were each other's missing siblings.
I sighed, and then got back to work. Once my room was clean, I picked up my enveloped letter, and then left my cave. I crept through the house and got to the front door. I don't know why I was creeping, I was home alone. My parents were out for the evening.
I left my house and didn't bother locking the door. I wasn't coming back. I ran my fingers through my long brown, curly hair, making sure it was perfect. Everything had to be. I stood still, breathing the fresh night air. My skin and dress glittered in the full moon light. This was my final night.
I ran through the streets as fast as I could. I dodged cars and manoeuvred around people, hoping I wasn't seen every time. I got to the bridge in record time. I hesitated. Just standing there and remembering. Remembering when Dana and I spit on passing cars and people. Remembering when Aiden and I threw rocks at the bridge. Just remembering.
I shook my head, and made my way to the middle and then climbed over the rails, holding on for dear life, though I didn't see the use. I righted myself so I was stand just above the footpath below. I clutched my letter in my right hand. I got ready, waiting for the right time. I bent my knees, closed my eyes and spread my wings.
Then, I jumped...
