The girl with the red hair.

the girl with the red hair,

never seen, but always there,

she sits alone, crying and screaming,

but it's much too late, the end is nearing.

she won't sit still, oh, so very bold,

she won't do a thing that she's told,

so tonight, the girl with the red hair,

will no longer be there.

They all saw the note, they didn't deny it. Jade West seemed the most hurt and angry, but the others didn't really respond. They gave a few gasps, but they were fake, far from oscar-worthy. There was one boy who seemed to care, he sat in the corner of the room. He was the most popular boy in the school, yet he was sat alone. It didn't happen often, that was for sure. He stared into space, no emotion on his face, he sits there for an hour or so but then he just loses it. He stands up and screams at the top of his lungs,

"You don't realise what you've done, do you? You've murdered her! I was the only one who ever made an effort, ever tried to make her feel welcome, so don't even put on that little stupid act, pretending like you care. You can all go burn in hell!" He stormed through the door, no friends in tow. He knows why she did it, why she died but he doesn't like to talk about it.

He went straight to her house, right after school. No invitation, no RSVP, but he wasn't turned away. Her parents didn't know, they said she was fine, so he ran up to her room, where she had been for the past hour. He kicked down the locked door, deciding it was an appropriate time to do so. To his horror, upon the bed, lay Miss Cat Valentine. She clutched a suicide note, he knew he was too late but he couldn't help himself. He jumped over her, straddling her, and he performed CPR, he performed it until he turned blue, then she breathed. Her heart began to beat and her eyes began to open.

"Cat, speak to me!" He whispered, tears trickling from his eyes.

"B-beck?" She looked around, astonished. He'd saved her when she didn't want to be saved.

"Why'd you save me?"

"Because..." He didn't directly answer the question, at first, but it was obvious. He leant towards her and gently pressed his lips against hers, only for a split second but it made her stomach jump. "I love you, Cat, I do." For the first time in the past few years, she smiled and it was the greatest thing he had ever seen.
