Two Babies, Big Changes
"I can't believe the construction went so smoothly, I know it was fairly basic but still I'm glad it is done." Jackie told Nick.
"Me too." Nick said with a smile.
Nick and Jackie had hired a contractor to convert their large bedroom and bathroom that they had built for guests into two fairly good sized bedrooms. The bathroom was then made into a jack and jill bath meaning it attached to both of the bedrooms so the babies could share it when they got older.
Now when guests stayed the night they'd have to sleep in Jackie's office, which wasn't so bad because they had put a double bed in there and a dresser and had added a closet, the only thing it didn't have was it's own bathroom so they would have to use the hallway bathroom but mainly the only guests that ever stayed the night was Nick's parents and giving up a big room and their own bathroom was not even a sacrifice to Nick's parents if it meant they were getting two new grandbabies to spoil rotten.
"Oh honey, speaking of changes for the babies did you ever talk to that CSI on dayshift that was selling that 12 passenger van?"
"Yeah, I looked at it the other day, it was in good shape, and he offered us a really good price, I think we should take it, I was going to take you to see it yesterday but he'll be out of town until next week, I'll take you to show it to you then." He responded.
"Ok, if you think it's nice then buy it, we need a new vehicle before the babies get here or they'll have to ride on the roof of our mini van." Jackie quipped jokingly.
Nick laughed.
"Alright, and after we get it we'll sell our mini van, the good thing about driving a mini van all these years is that the bigger van won't be that much different for us."
"That's true." Jackie agreed.
Nick smiled at her.
Although she still had quite a ways to go in her pregnancy the couple couldn't wait for the new little additions to arrive!
