"Is he going to be alright?" the blonde slayer asked her best friend.

Willow looked over at the dark haired guy who was trembling and shrinking away from an alarm clock tipped over on the floor. "I don't know Buffy, he's been under the demon's thrall for a long time. I don't know what kind of damage that could have caused."

Buffy sighed. "Well I guess we better take him back to Cleveland and get him checked out." Walking over to the door, she shoved the demon corpse aside with her foot so that she could open it, leaving a trail in the salt and pepper spilled everywhere.

Gently guiding the distraught man outside, Willow was unprepared when he jerked away from her violently. She followed his gaze but didn't see anything to be afraid of, just a child's shovel and pail, lying forgotten in the yard. Hauling the guy up by his green striped shirt, Buffy started to force march him towards the car.

Upon seeing the mailbox, the guy started sobbing and screaming, "Mail!" Buffy rolled her eyes before shoving the guy into the backseat of the car, where he promptly curled up into the fetal postion, still sobbing and mumbling under his breath.

As Willow walked around to the driver's side, Buffy tried to wipe something off her shirt while climbing in the passenger side. "You know, having to kill a demon that is shaped like a little blue puppy is weird enough, but seriously, what is with these stupid blue paw prints everywhere?"

Willow brushed ineffectivly at the blue paw print on her jeans before shrugging and starting the car. In the backseat, the guy's mumbling got louder, "Gotta find the clues, gotta find the clues."

Buffy turned up the radio to drown the guy out and dropped her head back to the seat. "This is going to be a long ride."
