Autumn…he always loved it for some reason.

Was it because it wasn't hot like summer, but not cold like winter, and had less flowers and girly things than spring?

Or was it because of the leaf piles he used to jump in when he was a child?

Or was it her? Her, the girl who had flipped his life upside down.

She had come into his life like a fury, really. Like a human tornado, she had swept his off his feet, leaving him disoriented and confused.

Her favorite season was autumn. Her hair matched perfectly with the auburn leaves, and the smile never left her face as they fell into the multi-colored leaves, rolling around and laughing. But what made his heart skip a beat…or four, was when she climbed on top of him and covered her lips in his.

She kissed him one-two-three-four times with agonizing sweetness, and he couldn't help it. Ladies man or not, he melted. For just a few seconds, he was in heaven.

She left as quickly as she came. She never really seemed to stay in one place. She was too much of a flighty little canary for that.

They kept in touch for about a year after that, but the distance was too great, and they lost touch with each other.

He never told her how he felt. How he loved her with a passion that couldn't be matched even by the sun. How he wanted to marry her, have kids with her, just be with her period.

As he walked through the leaves he smiled. It was like his own little chunk of Selphie Tilmett, following him even when she was far away.
