'I'm sure it'll scar.' Lily said, looking at her arm.

'Ah, perhaps,' replied Professor Dumbledore. 'But scars can come in useful. I have a very pecular one above my left knee. Would you care to see? I think you would find it most amusing, considering all you've been through in the past few hours. if I do say so?'

'Sure. Why not?' she smiled lightly.

He began to retract his purple robes that draped over his left leg. Once he had pulled them up far enough, he angled his knee toward her. 'Hm?' his eyes twinkled.

Lily's eyes grew wide with disbelief. Excitedly she said, 'Is that-'

'The London Underground? Why, Miss Evans, yes, it is.'

And for the first time for what seemed to be ages, the spark returned to her eyes, and she began to genuinely laugh. Perhaps she was laughing hysterically because of how tired she was, or the throbing pain coming from the long cut in her arm, maybe it was simply amusing- but the reason didn't matter. She had something to take her mind off of the world around her, even if it was just for a few moments.

'Professor,' she managed between gasps for air, 'How in Merlin's name did you manage to get a perfect map of the London Underground above your left knee?'

'If I told you the truth, you wouldn't believe me.' He said, eyes twinkling beneath his half moon spectacles. 'So, I simply tell everyone that I'm an ever aging man, and I've simply forgotten with time.'

A delighted grin spread across Lily's face as a new wave of laughter shook throughout her body. 'Brilliant. You're brilliant!' she said, wiping tears of joy away from her cheeks.

'Oy! They're here!' Sirius said, abruptly.
