Disclaimer- If I owned it, I wouldn't be writing fanfiction.

It was a dark and stormy night.

Wait a second, scratch that.

It was a totally clear night. There that sounded better.

A phantom thief had just stolen a jewel and was now on the roof of a building, holding it up to the moon to see if it was a magical gem which shed tears of immortality. Perfectly normal.

Three detectives, who wanted to catch this thief, for the first time working together to catch him, had come to the roof, covered in sparkles, confetti and feathers. Still normal.

"KID!" They shouted, simultaneously, as though they had years of practice (which they had, by the way).

Before the thief named KID could reply, another voice was heard.

"KID." said the other voice, calmly.

"Snake." KID replied.

Nothing abnormal here.

"Tonight is the night you die." Said the reptile.

The detectives had turned into background decoration.

"You've said that many a time, but I'm still alive." Said the thief wearing white.

"This time I mean it" Said the black one.

Suddenly, other men in black came out of nowhere, carrying guns.

Normality rules.

They were about to fire when a soccer ball came and hit Snake's face. KID was a nuisance but the detectives weren't about to let him die. Not because they wanted to protect him but because they wanted to put him in prison (note the sarcasm).

Completely normal. Of course a shrunken teenage detective kicking a soccer ball, which came out of nowhere, with super power kick shoes can be defined as nothing but normal.

"Snake-san, are you alright?" Asked one of the men in black (they don't kill aliens by the way, they just copied the name)

Then they saw that a flock of doves, some cards, a table, a katana, Spray cans and a can opener were being thrown at them.

They ran before they could get hit. No one attempted to go after them.

The thief then threw the gem at the detectives and flew off on his hang glider.

The detectives swore to catch the thief next time and went inside.

A perfectly normal day, I mean, night.
