Narcissa's eyes widened and her mouth fell slightly open as her shocked brain sluggishly began to process the news Andromeda had delivered with heartbroken finality.
"Sirius…?"
Andromeda gazed sadly at her little sister, a crestfallen angel with silent tears now coursing slowly down her pale cheeks.
"You can't be serious!" she said shakily, "Sirius would never do such a thing! He loves us, we're his family too, aren't we! Well, aren't we!" Narcissa glared angrily at her sister standing by the tapestry, then her gaze moved to still and silent Bella, frozen upon the couch, her eyes fixated upon the blackened hole on the tapestry. She hadn't moved an inch since Andy had dragged them into the drawing room to show them her disturbing discovery.
"Sirius…" Narcissa began to sob softly. "Sirius, how could you…?"
Her hiccoughs were the only thing to break the silence that had fallen upon the trio.
"Andy, are you sure? Are you serious?" she hiccupped.
Andromeda shook her head and sighed. "Yes Cissy, serious."
"Sirius."
"Serious."
"Serious?"
"Seri -"
BANG. Bellatrix's sisters both jumped as she slammed her palm down on the coffee table in front of her.
"Enough," she hissed through gritted teeth. "Yes, Narcissa, he's gone, and no, he's not coming back, and even if he wants to he can't! You know that," she said, pre-empting Narcissa's protests as her baby sister scowled at her. "He's gone to live with those blood traitors, and he can't ever come back!"
Bella's voice had risen to a demented shriek and she shot a poisonous glare at Narcissa and Andromeda as she got to her feet. As she swept out of the room, just before she slammed the door shut, they both could've sworn they heard her mutter under her breath.
"Siriusly…"
