Haley threw Nathan out of the house after that woman came to her said she was pregnant with Nathan's baby. Although Nathan did nothing wrong emotionally Haley can not look outside herself because Nathan has hurt her feeling before and she goes back to that 17 high school girl who feels outcasted by the jock who pretends to not know her name. Nathan decides he needs to take some time to cool off and goes on a rode trip by himself and ends up in a small bar in Texas where he runs into Haley's older sister Taylor. Nathan loss his virginity to Taylor his freshman year of high school before he and Haley met but now things are different. Nathan begins to admire Taylor's free spirited ways with nothing holding her back, no kids,no husband,no responsibilities. He drinks and tells Taylor all about how he was there for Haley when their mother passed away and how he always believed her and believed in her no matter what the circumstances were. Taylor suggest that he stays with her tonight because it is dangerous to drunk driving and since she was a bartender she stayed right above the bar and so they went upstairs.

While Nathan's story is on hold lets transition over to Haley who has left their son Jamie with Nanny Deb and has gone to visit Lucas who has been her bestfriend since childhood. She goes to Lucas crying her eyes out about how she does not know what to believe and how the the woman's phone number showed up on Nathan's phone bill twice but so did a bunch of other numbers she did not recognize. Lucas tries to rationalize with Haley with his gorgeous smolder and tells her to believe in Nathan but then out of no where she just grabs Lucas and kisses him and at that same moment Nathan kisses Taylor in Texas from there a whole new drama unfolds.
