John and his team had just entered the keloid research and containment lab that when they had lost contact with command, normally under these circumstances he would have waited for backup and a command uplink, but seeing there would be no back up this time they moved on, sealing the doors behind them as to make sure nothing got out, that included them if there mission was unsuccessful. The first door they reached was to the command center of the underground compound, locked of course. The team took up their standard breaching formaction, Tank on the left, Scarlet on the right, Andrew hacking the command console. And of course, little old me in the dead center of whatever was on the other side of that door. "I don't see why we can't just blow the door with a charge." said Tank. "We went over this, we aren't supposed to run into keloids until level three, but in the off chance there are some up here we don't want to alert them with a large explosive charge going "BOOM", Scarlet said. "Door open in five." Said Andrew. John racked his shotgun, the model was an old Mossberg M590-A1 12 gauge his father had given him before he left for the front. The door opened, as John looked thru a Keloid lunged out. Time seemed to slow as he brought the shotgun up and fired a round, striking the wall next to the keloids head. John stepped to the side as he racked the weapon again loading a fresh round, the keloid rushed past heading straight for the sealed vault style hatch that would lead it to freedom. Scarlet aimed her suprest vector and fired a burst. The three rounds struck the keloid in the back, punchering its rear shell and instantly killing it.
