Amidst the laughter of a group of travelers stands a slight red haired sorceress. Lina Inverse looked at her companions and smiled as Amelia latched onto Zelgadiss and Xelloss stared into the fire. Gourry glanced up as the fiery girl walked away from camp.
Lina stopped by a pond and stared at the reflection of the bright moon. At the back of her mind, Lina could feel the Lord of Nightmares stir. Golden light filled her vision as a voice filled with unimaginable power brought the girl to her knees whispered.
** Golden Knight, you seek release? **
- No, Lord of Nightmares. I seek myself -
(LON sighed in the Sea of Chaos)
** My child, this is your journey **
Lina opened her mouth to say something, but before she could the golden light faded as L-sama retreated from her mind.
Lying back against a solid pine, Lina reviewed her life and the things she had done.
- 'Hi little girl, are you lost? What's your name?' -
*Stupid Gourry! Not recognizing the beautiful, genius sorceress; Lina Inverse!*
- 'You want HOW MUCH for the statue?!?' -
*Zel was so serious, before I got to him*
- 'Giga SLAVE' -
*Shabarigdo was such a PEST!*
- 'With the Hammer of Justice I'll defend you!' -
*Amelia has ALWAYS been that annoying*
- ' Sore wa himitsu desu' -
*I still got his demon's blood talismans!*
Lina smiled into the darkness.
"Hey Lina!," Gourry's arms encircles Lina, holding her close.
As Lina shifted to lean back on Gourry she sighed, "Yeah, Gourry."
"Everyone's waiting for the new plan."
The mean tempered sorceress smiled, "Let's go! A new tomorrow is nearly here!" Gourry looked at the golden hint of dawn as Lina ran back to camp and whispered into the wind, "I'll look after her."
