PLEASE NOTE THAT I DO NOT OWN DEAN NOR SUPERNATURAL. If I did, it probably wouldn't be half as good as it is.
A sigh passed his lips. The hot air came out into the cold air as a stray cloud. He stared up at it as it flew upwards to who knows where. Away from him at the very least. Just like everything else went eventually.
Dean shook his head as if to expel the dark thoughts and shoved his hands into his jacket pockets.
No time for those things right now. The Apocalypse was right on their heels again. It was getting sad how familiar the thoughts of the world ending are becoming to him. Dean walked down the busy streets of wherever they had landed now. (Was it Missouri? Or maybe New York? He had lost track a while back were they were staying staying now.) The bright lights that came with Christmas were everywhere as usual this time of year. That's one thing that seemed to be constant in this crazy world, and Dean could certainly appreciate normal, every day things with his line of business.
Why was he out here again...? Dean wasn't quite sure. (Although he wasn't sure about many things these days.) Looking over at one of the brightly lit shops, a sudden urge hit him. Without really thinking, he turned inside of the building, instantly warming up due to the magic of thermostats. His green eyes swept the place. (No monsters that he can really see. But can you really tell any of them from a glance?) Green orbs stopped momentarily to look at something. His feet had taken him captive at some point and went to follow wherever his eyes pointed him. What was once five feet away from him was now not even a few inches.
It was just a silly snow globe. Nothing too fancy, just one of the stereotypical ones with a tiny snowman in the middle. But something just... drew Dean to it. It was weird. He stared at the small knick-knack and without thinking, he picked it up and walked over to the register where a peppy brunette stood. Her blue eyes swept his body, obviously checking him out.
"Can I help you sir?" The young girl asked him.
Yep. Definitely checking him out if the low, sultry voice and fluttering eyes were anything to go by. Had it been any other time, he might have even flirted back or said something witty enough to make her giggle. But for some reason or another, he didn't. He just sat the snow globe down with the appropriate amount of money beside it.
Jill, as the nametag told him, looked slightly downfallen, but didn't give in. At least, if the number on the back of the receipt and the capital letters spelling out 'CALL ME' we're anything to go by. Dean quickly grabbed his receipt and the oddly attracting snow globe and walked off. A slight flutter of paper went into the trash the moment he was far enough away from the shop that the woman couldn't see. Looking into the tiny snow globe at the even smaller snowman, Dean decided that maybe, just maybe, the world was worth saving a couple times more.
AN: Sorry for any OOC-Ness. This was just something I wrote while I was bored, so sorry if it isn't the best. Thank you for reading~. Ciao~.
