Kurt was looking around at his potential new home. He liked it, it was nice. A lot fancier then he was used to, but he liked it. There was one part of Xavier's mansion that he didn't like. All the children.
The adults where fine, once they looked at him, and got over the fact that he wasn't going to hurt them, they accepted him. But he knew that children where different. They looked at the face, at the tail or the blueness of skin, and saw only a monster, no matter what he would do; he knew that the children would always see him that way.
So he stayed in his room. He refused to be rejected a hundred more times. The only time he came out was to eat, and even that didn't seem to happen very often. At first he didn't seem to mind the solitude. He gave him a chance to pray. But after a while he grew lonely. Even at the church he seemed to see more people. Debating what to do. He decided to and watch from a perch, and watch people. At least then he wouldn't feel so alone. And if they saw him, he wouldn't give them a chance to reject him. He would be gone before they would look twice.
He teleported to the roof of the school then, made his way to a tree, then on top of a good size shed. He watched a group of girls as they played some silly game. He smiled. While he looked like a demon, once a woman got to know him, he seemed to be a bit of a ladies man. Not that he wanted to, he just seemed to be. As he sat, he thanked God for the sun, which he hadn't seen in days. And the warmth of the outside. Before he knew it, he was praying out loud in germen.
While he didn't seem to notice the change from praying in his head to praying out loud the girls did.
"What is that?" one asked.
"I don't know, I think it is coming from the shed." The made their way to the shed, and stood and listened.
One of the younger girls asked, "Is it an angel?"
An older one answered back, "I don't know, it could be I guess. I bet that it is speaking some angel language."
When the girls were discussing the fact that there very well could be an angel on top of the shed, Kurt noticed that he didn't seem to see the girls anymore. Stopping and holding his breath, he listened.
"I bet there is an angel here, I wish I could see it."
An angel? And with out thinking he, BAMF! Was inside the shed.
"Ahhhh!" the girls taking one look at him, screamed and started to scurry. He response to this, knowing that he had messed up, Kurt looked around. He then went on all fours and bleared his teeth.
"Bin ich Ihr Engel? Sie müssen betrachten, was hinter dem Gesicht ist!" he said in angry tones. He didn't want to scare him, but then again, he was tired of being rejected.
One of the girls stopped, the younger one, and looked at the devil looking mutant. "You are our angel! Ich habe Sie nicht erkannt! I am so sorry!" the girl went over to the mutant, who had stopped being demon like, and stood up. She was young, maybe only 10 years old. She petted his arm, and grabbed his hand, leading him to the outside where the other girls where waiting for their friend.
"This is our angel. He was hiding, I bet he didn't want just any one to know who he was, isn't that right angel?"
Kurt looked at the girl and smiled. "It is something like that."
"Bin ich Ihr Engel? Sie müssen betrachten, was hinter dem Gesicht ist!" means: "Am I your angel? you must look at what is behind the face!"
"Ich habe Sie nicht erkannt!" means "I did not recognize you"
