A Lavi Fan Fiction

Chapter One: Darkness

Running and running, that was all Lavi could do. Why am I running? Lavi asks himself. "Run exorcist run!" laughs a strange, familiar voice. Looking behind him was nothing, but the empty walls of the Black Order. As he approaches the door leading to his room, Lavi feels the dark force that was chasing him getting closer. Finally he can escape this nightmare, he opens the door; the dark attaches itself to Lavi and pulls him away.

Awakening from his nightmare, Lavi is left shaking and sweating. Unable to go back to bed, he grabs a shirt and walks out quietly as not to wake Bookmen. He walks through the halls of the Order tired and worried. The Order lifeless at three-thirty in the morning, he had to admit it was a little spooky. The dark walls, stone that gave the look of a dungeon, and the creepy footsteps you hear that follow you everywhere. The young bookmen-in-training picks up the pace. Lavi looked behind him and saw nobody, at same time the footsteps that were following him stop. What was going on? Is someone playing a joke on me? He begins walking again.

Lavi enters the training room, and before he can turn on the lights, a laugh echoes in the room. That all too familiar laugh. "What are running from?" said the Noah making her entrance.

Lavi smiles "Now how'd you get in the Black Order?" he asks, he notices the area around her getting; despite the floating candles.

Road's laugh fills the room "Where no longer in the Order," she says with a twisted smile on her face. Looking around him, Lavi saw that the walls and floor were gone, replaced by an empty void filled with floating, pointy candles.

Am I still dreaming? "Couldn't in the real world so you had to visit my dreams?"

"Oh, I wouldn't call it a dream" she smirked "And let's face it, nobody likes reality"

Lavi scoffs. Seven small children appeared around her. The children each wore a mask. On Road's, left were two little boys and on her right were two more boys, and in front of her were two little girls. The kid with white hair wore a clown mask with big red hair; he seemed to be the smallest. Next to him was a kid with a ponytail wearing a tengu mask. The tallest boy on right had black and white hair and wore a red mask with horns on it. The red hair boy next to him wore a bunny mask with an eye patch. The girls in front were very different from each other, one was and the other was tall. The one had pigtails and wore a mask that resembled a geisha and she held a pink bunny in her arms. The tall girl had curly brown hair and wore a mask with a smile on but appeared sad.

Lavi thought they resembled his friends, "Hey, what kind of joke is this Road?" Lavi says sounding angry. Road's grin gets wider as the kids run away, "HEY!" Lavi yells. Running after them, Lavi stops after they all vanish. He turns around facing Road.

"What's with the face?" she mocks, "if I were you I wouldn't be running after them, I'd be looking for a way out" she cupping her face with her hands.

A strange rumbling sound is heard, Lavi glance behind him and sees a giant pair of teeth. Before the teeth eat Lavi, he wakes up.
