Kuroko is a girl of few words, and it becomes worse as she tranfers to Rakuzan after the loss of Seirin. Silence seems to be her favorite response when she doesn't use her infamous blank voice and scares the others, but even though no words leaves the teal haired girl's mouth, there always seems to be... something that hangs within that silence.. As if she is speaking, but not.
It's strange, but there are times that Shigehiro almost, almost thought that he was able to hear words in that quiet. They are soft and faint and easily gets carried by the wind, they are indistinct murmurs that hangs within the air. They are almost unheard that he often wondered if he has gone crazy. But they aren't surreal. They are there. And he can hear them, despite how odd and illogical and unitelligible it is. It rarely happens, but he doesn't stop questioning. Is it just him? Or do the others hear her quiet words in her silence?
He almost believes that Akashi does, because as much as he hates to admit, the red head is amazing. Akashi will discuss with her, and stops right after seeing Kuroko's frown. It's almost as if Akashi hears the vague murmurs that he can stop and she understands and he shouldn't go too far, in spite of his authority. Of course, there are times that Akashi doesn't back off, and Shigehiro can't help but wonder if the redhead hears her, but chooses not to listen, just follows his ridiculous words of being absolute.
But then, he thinks how Akashi can hear them if they aren't there in the first places? (He convinces himself that they aren't real.) Nothing can bring words from silence. Silence, after all, was the absence of words, the period of time without noise.
Yet, strangely enough, Kuroko's silence forever remains the loudest in his ears.
