Yami POV
One more attack and the duel would be won.
"I draw!"
'Hmm, Celtic Guardian. Just what I need. '
"I summon Celtic Guardian in attack mode!"
However, it was not Celtic Guardian. Much to Yami's surprise, there was now someone quite different on the field, as time seemed to freeze for all but them.
He was a normal human, except for the long pointed ears, the left one bearing a blue hoop earring. He had fair skin, blue eyes, and messy blond hair; his wind sock- like hat and short sleeved, mid-thigh tunic were a pleasant green; his fingerless gloves, forearm bracers, and sturdy boots were a medium brown; he wore a white long sleeved shirt and pants underneath the tunic; a shirt of chain mail was between his other layers; he had an ornate yet servicable shield, blue with red and yellow, and bordered with silver metal, strapped to his back; and a sword with a purple and green hilt, in a blue scabbard decorated in red, yellow, and silver. Ah, yes, and he was glaring at Yami with a very annoyed expression on his face.
"What, pray tell, is so urgent a matter that you must interrupt my quest?" he demanded.
Appearing as a spirit next to Yami, Yugi said, "Well, you're definitely not Celtic Guardian, so who are you?"
"Link of Ordon province in Hyrule, Hero of Twilight, and I'm supposed to be on a quest right now, so who are you?" Link growled impatiently.
For all our sakes, I'm not going to narrate the entire conversation. To summarize, Yami quickly explained who they were, where they were, what was going on, and why he needed a bit of assistance.
"Fine, I suppose I could help you out," relented Link.
Just then, time unfroze. His opponent, who obviously could not tell that Link was not Celtic Guardian, cringed. He had no cards left in his hand, and none on the field.
"Attack him directly with Triforce Slash!" shouted Yami.
The words just popped into his head, he had no idea what they meant, but obviously Link understood. A symbol of three triangles appeared on his left hand, and both it and his eyes started glowing gold. He became surrounded by a rainbow aura, and charged forward. Slashing his sword in the pattern of the symbol repeatedly, he then paused, a delivered one final blow. The duel was won.
Theiropponent left quickly. Turning to Yami, who then switched with Yugi, Link said, "Nice meeting you," pulled out a horseshoe-shaped reed charm, blew a tune on it, and patted his horse. Mounting, Link turned Epona and rode through the portal Epona had come from, which closed behind him.
