The heat was almost unbearable as they all stood there fixing the fence. Lou would occasionally watch the boys work. She enjoyed being the only girl in the group not that anybody but Kid knew she was a girl. She watched as the boys all took their shirts off and began the drooling work. As the sun rose higher into the sky the sweat glistened off their bodies and Lou smiled. She reached for a board to hold on the fence as Buck walked past her, He was bare chested except for the black vest he wore. Sweat rolled off his biceps and her body went numb at the thought of those arms around her. Her fingers seemed to have gone numb as well as the board slipped out of her hands and fell to the ground. She picked up the board and saw Ike leaning over the fence behind her, she watched his muscular arms lifting a board to the fence, beads of sweat rolling down his chest. This corral was going to hold some fine horse flesh but she couldn't help but enjoy the flesh around her.
She saw Cody's straining muscles as he spun the fence post into the dirt trying to fit it into its hole. She saw Jimmy in front of her and oh what a view that was. His hair seemed to fall just at his neck and she watched as the sweat glistened off his muscular back. She was sweating now but it wasn't entirely from the heat. Kid was several feet away from her tying the boards together. His hands and fingers wound the rope around the boards and she wondered what those fingers felt like on her skin.
Luckily, Emma hollered that she had lemonade ready and they all walked back toward Emma's house. Lou walked behind the boys, as that was the best view after all, she thought with a smile. Once they reached Emma she started handed out cups of cool lemonade. Lou watched as the boys drank the drinks and watched as drops of lemonade mixed with beads of sweat rolled of their bodies. She could barely drink her lemonade. It was like it was raining men all around her and she wanted to dance in that rain. She bit her bottom lip as she knew these thoughts were wrong but they seemed so right. What was she going to do now? She sipped her lemonade and smiled, enjoying the view.
