Some people-mostly Maggie and Sharon- found it revolting than I had found love in Sunny. Other's- Wanda's friends, and Wanda herself- accepted it, and enjoyed that another human could love another soul.

I personally did not know what to think of it exactly. It amazed me I could go from burning hatred of souls, to complete love for a soul. It also saddened me that this soul, Sunny, that is my present love, had taken over my past love, Jodi.

I would never forget Jodi, but I decided to enjoy what I was given; Jodi had always sad that, and now I only appreciated that after she was gone.

"Kyle?" Sunny's sweet, soft voice broke through my thoughts. She was very intuitive. "What's wrong?" She asked again.

I smiled at her. "Nothing," I assured her. "Just thinking." Sunny smiled in response, satisfied that nothing was out of place.

"I'm done with my breakfast, are you?" She asked curiously, looking at my half eaten meal. Usually I could eat for the both of us. I shook my head and put both our plates on the counter for whoever's turn it was to clean up the kitchen.

I walked back to Sunny and took her hand tenderly, heading toward our room. Sunny would follow me to the ends of the earth, so she had no questions of where we were going; just followed like a happy puppy to her loving owner.

Once we got to our room, I closed the makeshift door and turned to face Sunny. I casually walked over to her and started playing with her hair, not even thinking about my actions.

Sunny put her hand on my cheek and smiled warmly, contentedly. "I love you." She said quietly, not wanting to break the silence too much. I grinned back at her. She didn't usually express her affection for me, but when she did, I felt like I was on top of the world.

I leaned forward, and kissed her. I tried to put all of my emotions I was feeling into this kiss, which didn't really work, when my annoying younger brother burst in, with Wanda at his side.

I broke away, with an annoyed look on my face. "Oh, sorry. We just came to get you Kyle. We need to plan for another raid." I rolled my eyes. I was really only worried about Sunny though. She was becoming more independent of my company, but it was mostly reluctant.

I looked back to her then. "Will you be okay without me?" I asked her softly. "I'm not made of porcelain, you know." She looked past me to. I followed her gaze quickly to see Wanda grinning back at her.

Sunny stepped forward to give Wanda a high five. I just shook my head in confusion and ran my hand down her forearm as a goodbye. I then walked out with Wanda and Ian to Jeb's room.

When we were out of earshot of Sunny, I asked Wanda, "what was that about?" Ian answered before she could.

"Wanda and Sunny think that we both treat them like they're way too breakable-"

"It's not just that, you guys just act like we're so prone to horrible things happening to us, and we need to constantly protected and asked if we're okay with something. We just recognize each other's feelings and have formed a friendship through that fact."

I shook my head again. Souls thought we humans were hard to figure out; I thought they were even harder to figure out. I smiled in spite of my observations.
