A CHIEF WITH A SHIELD VS. TEH NUKEMAHN

It was a time of darkness and despair for Tinseltown for all the superheroes and heroines were all too old to fight crime, so banks got robbed by Chief Thief Rex Raider who had a shield (in fact, many kinds of shields and he's fierce too).
Then, a figure in a grey armour suit with a laser cannon and he's looking fierce and a brown-yellow monkey (in fact, a bionic monkey) with boxer-gloves and laser eyeballs (those two are NM and Tom) swooped down and knocked out Rex.
For a brief time NM and Tom thought they had this "wrapped up", but not for long! ...Because when NM and Tom swooped on Rex it had knocked him into the local subway station and crashed into the window of a running subway train, killing everyone including the driver.
Then, he suddenly remembered that crashing a subway train into the wall (at full speed) of the subway station is the only way to get out of there, so he did it plus, that surprised NM and Tom and they started killing Rex with their laser cannon and laser eyeballs but Rex was hiding in the wreckage, and NM and Tom stopped shooting for awhile for them to cool off (In fact NM even drunk Gatorade!)
Rex believed that it was safe to go out but he regretted it for Tom and NM started killing again!
Suddenly Rex noticed a M2 105mm field cannon and used it on Tom and NM but it was an artillery piece and he pointed the gun upward and blew the ceiling off. So he found a M1918 BAR (Browning Automatic Rifle) and fired at NM but it didn't work because of NM's HBA (Heavy Body armour) so Rex gave up and yielded.
So, Tom and NM achieved their objective and flew home, Rex went to court and got sentenced to exile. Finally a brief funeral for all lives lost and a long, long celebration.
