It was a cold night but a lone figure could still be seen standing on a balcony of the new home for the dark order. Well he wasn't alone for long as he was soon joined by his fellow exorcist Lenalee.
"What are you doing out here Allen, don't tell me it your eye again" she said worried as usual about one of her friends.
"My eye's fine Lenalee, I was just thinking…"
"About what?" she asked, leaning on the railing of the balcony.
"Everything I guess, like how anyone of us could be sent on a mission tomorrow and never come back" they were both solemn for a few moments, both of them thinking about the people they'd already lost.
"I could be sent on a mission tomorrow and I might live but every time the chance of me or you or of anyone else coming back would lessen everyday, we'd be playing with probability"
"Are you sure about that Allen? Because if what you're saying is true then I should be dead a million times over" she said angrily "You can't just lose you're faith so easily!"
"That's not what I'm saying, what I meant was that eventually whether we like it or not someone close to us or maybe even we ourselves are going to die, suggesting a war without loss is unreasonable"
Lenalee sighed irritably.
"Now look at what you've done, you're making me feel depressed and you're younger than me as well, you should be the most light hearted of the two of us!" she exclaimed, trying to divert their talk away from the subject.
"Well it's because of all this depressive stuff that I've been thinking"
"Thinking what exactly?" she asked a little confused as to where the conversation was going.
"Well sometimes there are things you want to say to people but you just hold what ever it is back because you're too afraid of how they might reply" he said quietly, turning away from Lenalee as he spoke.
"I don't really understand that feeling Allen, whenever I want to say something to someone that's important I just say it; when you just tell everyone how you feel you'll live without regrets" she said seriously, hoping that maybe her advice would help Allen open up a little more.
"That's what I mean" he said, his face still turning away "but sometimes there are other obstacles like big brother that lie in the way"
"Do you mean to say you have something you want to tell me?" she asked, a little surprised as she'd always felt that Allen confided in the most out of the other exorcists.
"Well it's more like a secret, for now I'd prefer it if you kept it to yourself, it's a secret and a question; please promise me you won't give me an answer until after we've defeated the Noah and the millennium earl" he asked her, worry now clear on his face.
"I won't say anything; we can share this secret together" she said softly.
He then leaned across to her, his cheeks pink as he whispered something her ear. They both drew back from one another, Lenalee now joining in with Allen as her cheeks flamed red.
"Why can't I answer you now?" she asked.
"Because Koumi would kill me an-" he stopped in mid sentence as he felt her soft lips against his cheek.
"I understand" she said laughing "we'll wait when we're sure of not losing one another, till then I hope you won't mind me treating you like a little brother" she then left the balcony with a smile.
"A brother" he said aloud grinning to himself "Well I suppose that will do for now"

I just suddenly felt like writing something for D. gray man and in the end I think it turned out into something cute :] It was short but I really enjoyed writing it ^^
Edit: I'm just read it through, I just realised that the ending is quite perverse :[ A very weird ending which I liked.
