To support my story a bit, and add a bit of fluff, I made my own version of the Pokémon theme song. If it turns out to be good, I will make some for the sequels (if I ever finish this one...). Anyway, please tell me what you think about it!

The sun rises over the Indigo Stadium. It is empty, except for one trainer, Jimmy. He looks up at the rising sun.

I wanna be the very best, as no-one ever was.

Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle are quickly shown, the next shot shows Pidgey being caught by Jimmy.

To catch them is my real test,

Professor Oak hands Jimmy the Pokéball containing Pidgey.

To train them is my cause.

Jimmy calls Pidgey into battle, who flies in over his head. The next scene shows Jimmy running on a large field, followed by Pidgey, and one by one another Pokémon follows him: a Butterfree, a Pikachu, an Ivysaur, a Charmeleon and a Wartortle.

I will travel across the land, searching far and wide.

Quick shots of Pidgey, Caterpie and Pikachu. A Pidgeot flies upwards.

Teach Pokémon to understand,

A ball of energy forms in front of the Pidgeot.

The power that's inside.

The chorus kicks in, the next shot shows a Fire Blast being shot at a Bulbasaur, another shot of a Pikachu that is about to be Mega Punched by a Poliwrath.

Pokémon, gonna catch 'em all!

Jimmy embraces Pidgey.

It's you and me,

Two shots: a radio tower is wrecked by a Bonemerang, Jimmy tosses up a Pokéball, the screen stays focused on the ball.

I know it's my destiny!

A Dragonite roars. The next shot shows Jimmy, with Celia and Rodney at his side.

Pokémon! Oh, you're my best friend,

Team Rocket is seen running away from a Golbat and a Flareon, the screen focuses on the three shadowy figures behind them.

In a world we must defend.

Victor has his arms crossed in front of him, holing a Pokéball in each of his hands.

Pokémon, gonna catch 'em all!

A Venusaur, Charizard and a Blastoise fire Solar Beam, Fire Blast and Hydro Pump at the screen, a Pidgeot flies over the attacks with Quick Attack.

A heart so true,

Jimmy's grandparents and Professor Oak are seen, they nod at the screen. Another shot shows that Jimmy pulls down Celia and Rodney to dodge a Thundershock.

Our courage will pull us through.

Jimmy picks up a shiny Lickitung, who licks the trainer's face.

You'll teach me, and I'll teach you, Pokémon!

A Pidgeot, with Jimmy on his back, flies at high velocity at a familiar Meowth-shaped balloon.

Gonna catch 'em all, gonna catch 'em all,

Jimmy throws a Pokéball at the screen, which opens in a flash of light, showing the Pokémon logo.

Pokémon!

That was easier then I expected... but I can hear you think: Celia? Rodney? Victor? Five shadowy figures? Who are those people? Well, if you want to know that, keep reading... Expect updates if the story demands it!
