Once upon a time, there lived a girl called Rapunzel who was locked away in a tower by her evil stepmother. Don't get me wrong, it was a pretty cool tower, with wi-fi, excellent mobile reception and a Prada loyalty card. All the furniture was colour coded in chic monochrome. She had a smooth marble worktop, in which she could bake cakes and muffins to her heart's content and feed them to her little animal friends. Every day she watched Doctor Who and Sherlock, until she could recite every single line. She listened to Taylor Swift on her precious, diamond-encrusted ipod dock until she knew every single lyric and chord progression. One day, when she was very, very bored, she looked out of the window.

'I'm going to climb down there and find a floating light.' she thought.

She gathered together all the things she would need: handbag, platinum credit card, supplementary lip gloss and her must-have accessory of the season, a Gallagher Girl's novel.

"Now, if I just use the bedsheets and curtains to make a very long rope, I can get out of this window and slide down to the bottom of this tower." she said into the empty room.

"Alternatively, you could just use the door." A male voice said behind her.

She jumped, and nearly threw her bag out of the window in her excitement. "There's a door?" she asked, inexplicably clutching a frying pan.

"Yeah, I just came in through it," The person of male origin was fairly tall, with brown hair that flopped into his eyes. His voice was deep, and he looked distinctly similar to Flynn Rider from Tangled. "I'm Flynn Rider, by the way."

Rapunzel gaped at him. "As in, from Tangled?"

"Nooooo, as in from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs." His voice was dripping with sarcasm.

"Why have you come into my room?" She asked defiantly.

"Didn't you read the script, darlin'? We're all just little puppets being pulled about on strings by big writer man over there."

"Actually, I'm a girl." A shadowy figure hidden in the corner stepped out from behind a monochrome curtain. "Ooh, this is weird isn't it? I FINALLY BROKE THE FOURTH WALL! I'm either very big headed, or I need to somehow finish this story quickly as it's supposed to be a short one. I reckon it's the latter." And with that, she disappeared in a puff of sparkly silver sparkles.

Rapunzel went on to become one of the most famous people to be locked in a tower, Flynn Rider changed his name to Eugene Fitzherbert, and they all lived happily ever after.
