*I don't own Jane and the Dragon of its characters
A small fic, in children's book style. Hope you enjoy!
It is widely known, that the inhabitants of Kipper Castle are a world all their own, but what is an unspoken rule are the activities in between duty and responsibility.
Rusted suits of about sixty or so years, watched with intensity, everything dear.
In gardens where the grubs munch on the spring vegetables, the sweetness of gardener and cook could be heard by the voiceless souls which go by unseen and forgotten.
Hallways carry the laughter of royal disobedience, while the reprimanding shadows lurk, and gather in bundles white linens for multiple rooms and suites.
If one walked through the library, in the corner of its great knowledge you may find the Chamberlain drowned in bookkeeping and worries.
A laugh that could travel was always in a hurry.
And if you pass on a good day, by a lone grey tower, you may still see the waif of a girl that only legends could name.
The meeting of metal and spark birthed the broadness of a sword, and promised a display of strength.
Scents carried along the wind held whispers, and so he tried to break. Dusty courtyards courted his beauty, and a misunderstood raven of treacherous clans, awake to reality, working to defy parental plans.
Perhaps you do not like gardens, or hallways, or towers, not even courtyards, but prefer wide and open spaces?
If one would travel past the grazing fields, before the quarries, and a couple hours before watching the sea, then you would find a mountain, scales that scare the dim and unknowing, sleep and well, there is no telling what figures and thoughts travel so lightly.
However, every day is a new adventure, ever and ever changing.
The places we know, or believe we can imagine carry a life of their own.
The air, the wind, the elements a bliss, learning the kiss of new understanding.
Will you not join? Can you not see it? Have I added enough color to this blank pallette?
Fine, so be it, but remember this.
A scaled beasty, and a knight in training, and a cave where dreams could be, will always be waiting.
Will you not join us?
