"No one would miss me," Number Thirteen spoke monotonously to the Redhead behind him.
"That's not true!" Axel yelled at the Organization's youngest member. The Pyro's shoulders slumped, his head lowering. "That's not true."
Roxas hadn't made it very far before he heard loud footsteps coming from behind his back. The boy stopped and half turned to find Axel charging at him. His eyes widened and he managed to take a sharp breath.
"God Dammit Roxas! I would miss you! Don't you get it? I would miss you!" Number Eight held the blonde's shoulders tight, shaking him.
Roxas, obviously, wasn't prepared for Axel's outburst. He hadn't had time to brace himself, nor had he been ready to react. He stared at his best friend visibly at a loss.
Axel, still holding the boy's shoulders, slumped to his knees and lowered his head, "I would miss you." He spoke quietly, muttering the same thing repeatedly.
The younger boy looked at the older member painfully. He didn't want his leave to have such an impact on anyone. Especially not his best friend.
"You… you were the only thing in the world that ever made me feel whole. Like I had a heart…" Axel spoke almost soundlessly.
Roxas immediately felt and overflow of guilt and sorrow. Yes, he was mad at himself. How could he allow himself to hurt the most important thing in his life? How could he live with himself after making Axel cry? He's crying? Roxas watched, shocked, as tiny tears fell quickly to the ground. He felt tears sting his own sapphire-blue eyes.
Axel felt small hands on his cheeks. Roxas lowered himself to his knees so that he was, once again, shorter that the older Member. He looked up at Axel, held a small smile on his lips, and tears in his eyes. He starred into Axel's stunning emerald eyes as they slowly released small tears down his cheeks.
"Axel… I will miss you too."
"You're still leaving."
Number Thirteen closed his eyes and bent down, lightly pressing his lips over Axel's. The Redhead instantaneously kissed the boy back. It was a small, short kiss that finished almost as soon as it started. Though it meant so much to both Members. Axel lowered his head again.
After minutes had gone by, Number Eight finally released the younger boy's shoulders. He looked back into Roxas's eyes, his hands sliding from shoulders to wrists, "don't leave me."
"I wouldn't even think of it…""
