Samurai Deeper KYo: Five Minutes to the End of the World
A/N: Anyone up for a challenge? Not sure where the idea came from – exhaustion, wine, and the idea of zombies I think – but I have a challenge for SDK writers!
A five minute fic featuring the end of the world. SDK characters only– doesn't matter who – and at least one has to die . Sadly, I suck. I think this took me at least 5:30 to finish. I fixed spelling errors, but kept all the bad grammar.

He hears the gunshots from behind the building, and with a swing of the long blade – the priceless blade he spent years seeking – he cut down the creature in front of him and made his way over to investigate.
He finds her there and red and green clash across the darkened alley, both blood covered but alive.

They stay together, though at first neither care for the arrangement. They fight constantly, when not fighting for their lives against the kenyous that had destroyed the world three weeks ago. She's proficient with the revolver and he the sword, and they survive.

When they find the dead form of her brother after six months of looking, it's him she turns to when she finally breaks down. The sobs shake her even as his arm tighten around her, wanting to comfort her though unsure how.
Still, he never drops his guard. Death could easily come too quickly.

They fall in love, despite the wasteland the world has become. They never say it, but she can feel it in his touch and he can see it in her face when she looks at him.
They live.

They were ambushed on the full moon. It had been nearly a year since they met and traveled, and neither could recall the life before each other, even outside the hell they were in.
When he's wounded by the kenyou, she screams and kills it, but they know what will happen.
As he turns she holds him and in the instant he turns, she raises the gun.
"Good-bye, Kyo."

The world ends.
Ending A/N: I hate the anime – seriously, one of the most disappointing anime ever. But I figured, need zombies? Use kenyous!
Also, I know it's horribly short, but please review? PLEASE?
